Doctor was amazing. Great skills, kind demeanor, great rapport with staff. Very relaxing setting, especially since surgery can be stressful. I am very pleased with my surgical procedure (ear lobe repair).
I went to Dr.Yoo for lip fillers. Dr. Yoo was amazing. He didn't just make my lips bigger, he took his time to carefully shape them. His attention to detail is beyond amazing. He made some suggestions that I am so thankful for, because my results are outstanding!!!! Thank you to Dr. Yoo and Mia for doing such an amazing job !!
I initially sought out a consultation with Dr. Yoo regarding a septoplasty procedure, and was met with confident and thorough answers to all of my many questions, as well as concerns. He took the time to meet with me on numerous occasions so that I was properly informed on the procedure, and helped me navigate some of my own initial hesitations.Dr. Yoo and his team are incredibly patient, accommodating, and informed. Two months post-op I can breathe better than ever before, and I am beyond happy with the results. A dedicated and meticulous surgeon, who very clearly does all that he can in order to ensure that you receive the results you want.
I was looking for a doctor who has done earlobe reconstruction surgery and Dr. Yoo kept popping up everywhere when searching online. It wasn't until my friend, who I found out upon conversation had also gone to Dr. Yoo, told me he got his stretched earlobes done by him, that I decided that this was the doctor who I wanted. I am so lucky Dr. Yoo took a chance on me as my earlobes were severely stretched out. I am super happy with my results. He was very professional and his demeanor makes you feel comfortable. His staff is incredible and Sheree up front is so informative and kind. I honestly had the best experience and would recommend him to anyone! So if you're searching, don't second guess yourself when it comes to Dr. Yoo. I know plastic/ reconstructive surgery is a huge decision but you will not regret it with Dr. Yoo!
Hello potential patients of Dr Yoo, It's been about 4 months since I received my septoplasty and lower blepharoplasty surgery (removal of bags under the eyes), and I couldn't be happier. What I appreciated most about Dr Yoo was his transparency and recommendations on how to avoid complications. (I smoke vape, yes I know it's bad). He also threw in a special which was nice since part of the surgery came out of pocket. I intentionally waited to leave a review because I wanted to see how things would develop over time. My sleep has improved tremendously and my meditations are that much better. I highly recommend septoplasty for those who constantly have a stuffy nose and do NOT recommend using Affrin! I've became dependent on it and it started to impact my personal life. Additionally, since I was going into surgery anyway, I thought I'd treat myself with a lower blepharoplasty. I constantly received comments like 'you look tired' or 'did you get enough sleep' which led me to Dr Yoo. Now I look ten years younger and already have received compliments :) Dr Yoo is very responsive and will even respond to email via weekend, and Sheree was great to interact with. She was very thorough and always set expectations with me which is nice. Not once did I feel I was being 'taken advantage of' and whenever something would come up, Sheree would proactively reach out. Pic is below! Thank you for improving my quality of life, Dr Yoo & Sheree!
Dr. Yoo was amazing. He spent a lot of time with me at every visit and explained clearly to me everything that he was going to do. I could not have imagined a better or more caring doctor. I am very happy with the results of my surgery. Thank you, Dr. Yoo!
Dr. Yoo is an incredible surgeon! I can't recommend him enough. From the initial appointment to the final results, I was beyond pleased. He thoroughly explained what to expect before, the day of, and post surgery. The nurses at the surgery center also sang his praises, which further put me at ease. His attention to aftercare was incredible. He's professional, kind and a genuine good person. He inspires a level of trust, and the results were amazing! Look no further....he's phenominal!
I'm so happy I don't even know where to begin. I'm 7 weeks post-arm lift and I finally have what I've always wanted. I've been plagued by fat arms my entire life due to genetics. Overeating compounded the issue as the fat tended to settle in my upper arms. I spent my life my life wearing sweaters in the summer and dealing with clothing that fits everywhere except my arms. After gastric bypass surgery, the time was finally right to give myself the present of an arm lift. I did a lot of research and in the end, I chose Dr. Yoo. What a great choice! Not only does Dr. Yoo spend time addressing every concern, but the pain was minimal and I finally have the arms I always dreamed of. Thanks, Dr. Yoo! I'm thrilled I can enjoy your incredible skills for the rest of my life.
Dr. Yoo deflated my saline implants today. Not too painful. He had to give a numbing shot in the bottom of each breast first and then he withdrew the saline. Took about 10 minutes per breast and his assistant helped. This gives him an idea of my skin’s elasticity about 4-5 weeks prior to surgery. Both breasts had capsular contracture but one was much worse. So after deflation it has revealed a dent or fold in that one and he hopes it will relax and loosen like the other one. He believes the skin underneath is tethered to the implant, which is causing it too look this way. I have to massage it and hopefully it will loosen over time. This also lets him see how my breasts hang for when he does the lift. Wow— to feel my soft breasts is a relief! They were so firm and uncomfortable before. Updated on 10 Sep 2019: One day after my saline implants were deflated, the odd, dented/creased breast has settled out a lot, and is now just about as low as the right breast. It's still tender due the hard scar tissue inside and I couldn't sleep on that side last night. When I have a bra on you can't tell at all like you can in the photo from yesterday. So, whew! Updated on 25 Oct 2019: Hello! Surgery was yesterday. I had the explant and mastopexy. I was in surgery for a little more than 3 hours and was well cared for at the surgery center. My anesthesiologist was great, and the O.R. nurses and P.A. were wonderful. My doctor, Dr. Yoo, is the BEST! I really like him and he's just genuinely a good person; easy to talk to, very down to earth, tells you straight up how it is and is so nice! Like a friend. I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon to take care of me. He finished with me around 11:30 and I was in recovery for 3 hours (longer than normal) because the anesthesiologist gave me a little more anesthesia . I have woken up during a few past procedures;a foot surgery and the breast augmentation years ago. I told him my foot surgery I was lightly put under and that the doctor had told me I might wake up, and I did. And then I also woke up when I had my breast augmentation all those years ago. Anyway, got back home and rested, because sleeping has not been so great. I'm very sore, especially underneath my breasts where the longer incisions are and where the bra band is. I will say that I cannot stand the bra band. This part sucks! Pain pills definitely take the edge off, but I had to sleep kind of inclined and didn't sleep much at all, even though I was very groggy. It's not excruciating pain, just incredibly tender and uncomfortable. I mean, who wants to wear a snug bra to bed...NO ONE! LOL. I have no pain in the nipple areas. Just little twinges every now and then like being poked with a tiny needle...nothing major. I have a very low pain threshold, so for me to say this should tell you that the pain is not THAT bad. I stay on top of my pain med too, and even though I can take 2 pills every 4-6 hours, I've only been taking 1. I don't like narcotics. I was prescribed Hydrocodone w/ Tylenol 5-325. Today, I I took 2 because I hear day 2 is the worst. The feeling is really the same even with 2 pills, and when 4 hours is close I can definitely tell it's almost time. By day 4 I'm sure I'll be down to regular Tylenol. My doctor said I was a bit of a tough case, but he's seen worse. Since my breast tissue is very dense and my implants had been in for nearly 25 years, there was a lot of calcification that had formed along with thick scar tissue. He showed me a video of them after they were out. One capsule was rather squished or looked more like the shape of a piece of salmon, instead of nice and round. He cut them open and turned them inside out and that is where you could see these white pieces of calcified tissue, attached to the capsule, almost like bones. It explained why I was feeling hard areas after deflation - like little pebbles or bigger rocks. EEK! LOL. I also have a sort of deep cavity where the implant sat for so many years. He told me that usually, more pliable breast tissue is easy to kind of push up and help fill that cavity, but since I have dense breast tissue, he was not able to cover as much, and said I may have a slight concave look. I don't really care. I'm just glad they are out of my body! Right now they are sitting up high and swollen so they will settle over time and that concave area (which I can't see yet), may fill in some. My drain tubes are fine...they don't hurt and draining them is not hard. My husband helped me yesterday and I was able to do it today. Your drain tubes are a very integral and important part of your recovery and success. One of THE most important. Do exactly what your instructions say about draining them and keeping area clean. I have to dab the area with Betodine using a Q-tip, just by where it enters your body and a few inches down the tube every time I drain them. And, you have to keep the area around the entry very dry, with a blow dryer if need be. He was really adamant about that. No moisture allowed. I had some post-op bleeding that seeped through gauze and even seeped through to one area of the bra band underneath, and he said it's all normal and looks fine. No need to change the bra or gauze. He took some of the strips off from around my nipples (didn't hurt at all) as they had gotten pretty soaked in blood, and left the other strips in place around them. I can't see any stitches yet anywhere because they're covered. Such an ordeal - right? I got to thinking why I got a breast augmentation in the first place 25 years ago and asked myself if it was worth it after what I just had to go through, not to mention the cost. I remember being so excited to get implants back then. I was 29, had been divorced a few years, was cute and petite and slender, but had flat as pancake breasts after having two babies. Getting them gave me a boost in confidence, but I also recall feeling a little self conscious of them too. I was never one to wear revealing tops that showed cleavage or really tight tops. And as I got older I did everything I could to hide them and not let people see how big I was. I was originally only a 34C and 103 lbs. when I had them put in. Over the years I've gained 20 lbs and gained a lot of breast tissue, so my size was 34DD! Ugh! I felt very frumpy, like a bigger person, with them. I have wanted to get them out for a long time and never had a desire to replace them with new implants. This is just my personal experience. I know many women replace them and are super happy and I think that's great. I'm just over it. LOL. OK - that's it. Sorry for the book and thank you for reading this if you got this far! Hope this helps you if you are wanting or needing to do the same thing. I'll update again in a few days. Sorry no photos...there is nothing to see yet.Very thankful for my husband and his help! Getting into bed is challenging and I'm using my legs and abdominal muscles A LOT for movement...which is a good thing! I need all the help I can get with this older flabby body. LOL. He called me yesterday to check on me and asked me to unhook my bra and check my nipples. He wanted to make sure they were nice and pink and they are. Updated on 28 Oct 2019: Dang I wrote way too much last time! I’ll blame it on pain meds! Ha! I’m on Day 4 now and doing well. I don’t go in for second post op check up until Friday. I assume he’ll remove my drain tubes then. Bummed I have to have them in for 8 days, but he said it’s the most important part of my healing. Off pain med as of two days ago, or Saturday night. Just using regular Tylenol and muscle relaxer as needed. Drain tube entry points are really the only thing that bugs me. It’s day 5 since I’ve washed my hair and you’d never know. I’m fortunate that I don’t have oily skin.... but that has its pros and cons. Mostly resting and today was my first day home alone. I walked my dog very briefly this morning and I continue to rest. Each day has gotten easier as far as movement/discomfort goes. I’m extra tired today so listening to my body. You can see dried blood on my bra, which happened on the first day. He’s left all the other gauze in place and said to leave it all alone except for drain tube entry area. I’m very diligent about using betodine with Q tip to clean that area. Updated on 31 Oct 2019: Today is day 7. I figured horror show type photos were in order on this day. They look worse than they feel as far as pain goes. The Drain tubes come out tomorrow and I am SO looking forward to that!! They have been THE most uncomfortable part of this ordeal. Happy Halloween! Updated on 2 Nov 2019: I had my week one post op appointment yesterday with Dr Yoo. I was anxious for it because I was pretty certain he’d finally remove the drain tubes. I was anticipating that it would hurt because they’ve been bugging me a lot. Well, it was nothing!! I barely felt them being taken out! He peeled the steri-tape off of all incisions too, and said I can take short showers now. He said I’m still in active healing after a major procedure, and to continue to rest, take care of incision areas (keep them dry) and keep wearing support bra, even to bed. The bra should be supportive and slightly compressing, but not binding over the underneath incisions. I have another follow up in 3 weeks, and he said I’m still swollen, but healing really well and said everything looks great. So glad those drain tubes are out!! I feel free! I’m still sore, like a bruised or achy feeling, of course. Tylenol helps that. Oh, and I’m still only allowed to sleep on my back. I wouldn’t even think of trying to sleep on my side yet. Ouch! Updated on 9 Nov 2019: Another week has gone by. Things I’ve noticed: - Tenderness is not as bad - Take short showers and keep incisions dry - Less swelling - Less bruising - Breakthrough bleeding after shower yesterday at the ‘T’ part of incision, on right breast only. I’m told this is common, and I think I was feeling less discomfort. So I became a bit too active. It’s like a slow pinhole leak/drip since yesterday, so I’m changing small gauze pads a few times each day. Not sure if a stitch dissolved early or what. - Continue to take it easy and don’t reach up!! This is difficult when you are only 5’2. I’m using a step ladder just to use the microwave! LOL. - Sports bras are the most comfortable now. They offer the necessary compression/hold and aren’t too tight near incisions. Updated on 23 Nov 2019: What’s been happening: - I still have some swelling, all normal - The shower can hit my breasts and not hurt but it’s not a high pressure shower head - All my stitches are fine and there are only a few very tiny scab areas - I continue to have tender spots, or I’ll feel twinges if discomfort, mainly where the drain tubes were. It’s like a dull ache/twinge, but it’s very on and off with more off. My breasts feel softer but still “tight”, which is normal at this stage still. The upper or top of breast swelling has really gone down and my breasts look smaller. I’m very pleased! I’m now allowed to put some silicone gel scar gel or the strips of silicone gel on incisions to aid with scarring, but not on the few tiny scabs. I’ve been cleared for light/low impact exercise, but still cannot sleep on my side and I’m still wearing a bra to sleep in. I feel good and listen to my body so I don’t overdo it. Dr. Yoo is a fantastic surgeon! Updated on 24 Nov 2019: Hands down amazing surgeon! He knows what he is doing. My full review and photos are under my profile. Not sure how/why my rating isn't attached to my full review. Dr. Yoo is very skilled and explains what he can do for you. He answers your questions and asks you questions that help him know your expectations. He is kind and genuinely cares about his patients and wants them to be happy. I felt very at ease from the first meeting with him. Sheree, his office manager, is excellent too! I like her a lot.
I found Dr. Yoo on here and reached out to him. He is extremly knowledgeable and kind. His office is very clean and has an great staff also. He takes the time to explain everything and answer any questions you have. But most of all I am beyond happy with my results! He took the chance with me and did a revision on a previous labiaplasty. I wish I would have gone to him from the start, he is worth every penny! I can finally be confident with myself and that is the biggest gift Dr. Yoo gave me. You will not be disappointed with him!
Thanks for posting. It does not appear based on your photos that you are developing symmastia. Would give things a bit more time to heal and allow swelling to come down.Cheers
Thanks for posting.Although its never possible to look exactly like the picture you sent, rhinoplasty surgery can get you closer. I prefer using your own cartilage over an implant as this provides the most natural and longest lasting results. There are many techniques to 'elongate' and reshape your nose. Best to speak to a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.
Congrats on such a momentous achievement! After such a great amount of weight loss, skin resection in the form of a tummy tuck or body lift would be more appropriate. Liposuction can still be used to touch up areas but the former two procedures would likely be more appropriate. Best to seek a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. Best Wishes
It is completely normal to be very swollen after labiaplasty surgery as this area is highly vascular (ie. has a robust blood supply). Usually 4-6 weeks will bring down the majority of the swelling but it will continue to subside each month up to a year.
Unless there were rigid grafts that were placed like a rib graft, i think at 40 days postop its unlikely that any permanent damage was caused by this. If rigid structural grafts were placed - ie columellar strut or extension graft, this can become dislocated. Best to speak to your plastic surgeon.Best wishes
