MiraDry and extreme extremity swelling. What can I do? (Photo)

Your swelling of the arms is impressive and highly unusual. I suggest you be examined by your treating physician for a full evaluation. Wearing a compression garment, elevating your arms and massage may help in the meantime. Good luck, 

I would encourage you to wrap your arms with an ace bandage, ice and keep them above your head as much as possible. We give our patients Celebrex 100mg which greatly reduces swelling, but this is normal and to be expected with treatment as the fluid re-absorbs into your body. This could take 2 weeks. I would wrap arms from hands to axilla.  Keep elevated. use ice. and be patientSwelling should resolve over a few days. See your doctor

Thank you for your question and for sharing your photos and concerns with us.  I would recommend that your visit with miraDry provider. I also recommend that you start compression of your arms to help reduce your swelling. Keep them elevated above your heart when you are at rest, as this will use gravity to help you reduce your swelling.

This is just swelling.  It will resolve for sure.  Do not worry!  You could use ACE-wrap at night to help the fluid absorb faster.

Sorry to hear you have had this to deal with after your treatment. Swelling is very normal after miraDry, however this is more than average. I would definitely recommend a call and follow up appointment with the practice & provider who performed this procedure. It is terrible that you developed lymphatic swelling after your procedure.It looks like you're a nurse, based on the stethescope on your neck ... and you are working today. I recomend that you take several days off and elevate your arms to help resolve this swelling sooner.As Dr. Raffy Karamanoukian recommended on the post below, I recommend that you take bioflavonoids to help the swellling - Swell X is a good formula.It is possible that your recent breast augmentation procedure contributed to the lack of lymphatic clearance. Having done hundreds of miraDry, I have never seen one as bad as yours.Dr Karamanoukian
