Do I have too much filler injected in my vermillion border? (Photo)

I was injected with 1 syringe of Juvederm 4 days ago and I'm going on my 5th day. I had a lot of swelling the first two days and it seems to have gone down quite a bit today. I had minimal bruising. My top lip seems like there is too much filler on the vermillion border and it's sticking out really far and looks like a duck. Should I have this dissolved or wait the full two weeks? The other swelling seems to have gone down so I'm thinking this is too much product.

It can take 1-2 weeks for final results. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. Because of the thin nature of the lip tissues they are prone to swelling, especially if Juvederm Ultra Plus was used.  I know waiting is difficult but I would allow a full two weeks to pass before considering filler removal.  Best wishes.

Yes, the current lip size and shape at the moment is a little too much - but it may be swelling.  If it hasn't resolved in another week or so, consider getting it dissolved with hyaluronidase.

Dear HelpMe44:I would allow a full two weeks for the swelling from Juvederm to subside. If you are still not happy, hyaluronidase will very quickly dissolve some of the filler.For your next treatment, if you desire less swelling and downtime, consider Belotero or Volbella.All the best,   Dr. Clark

It is probably too early to evaluate the adequacy of the filler.I would suggest waiting the full two weeks. Too much filler is easily reversed. I particularly like the fact that the filler was placed along the border which is key to presenting a good anesthetic result.

it's been 4 days since you posted your question and I'm guessing most of the swelling will be down by now. 
You have beautiful lips but definitely the prominence is unnatural looking in your photos. Some people request this look but if it is still bothering you, I would ask your provider to dissolve some of it. 
The beauty of hyaluoronic fillers such as juvederm is that they can easily be dissolved with hyaluoronidase. The only issue is that dissolving can be a tricky business. You don't want it all dissolved - only some of it. 
Your provider may want to dilute the hyaluronidase and just inject small amounts along the vermillion border in the hope that you will achieve only partial reduction and thus get your desired outcome.
Im sure people would love to hear of what you do end up doing and what your outcomes are as this is a common issue and not fun at the time for you. Sorry!

Give the filler 2 weeks to calm down. Hopefully it is still the swelling factor from the filler.

Still early in the post injection phase. Allow at least 10 days post injection healing time. Than if you feel over injected you can request HA dissolve injections, though not many injectors are experienced with doing these dissolver injections. So you might need to see and pay for a true expert injecting MD to aid you....
