I have looked through this forum for answers to why I have gotten them at such a young age, a lot of the answer states that it's probably due to genetics. Could you please explain this a little bit further, what does that mean?

Answer: Improving Nasolabial Folds--Lasers. Fraxel/Clear + Brilliant, RF like VIVA, Peels, Fillers, Skin Care, Face Lift, Fat Genetics, anatomy, lifestyle and aging all play a role. A combination approach will give the most improvement. I recommend fillers for the folds themselves but also lifting around the mouth and cheeks to build underlying anatomical support. In our practice we combine sculptra with other fillers "layered" on top and lasers, rf treatments, J Plasma and peels to get the most conservative natural look. Please see a facial sculpting expert. Answer: Genetics and lifestyle factors both play a role in the appearance of facial wrinkles. Hello. Genetics can play a role in how early on in life you develop nasolabial folds and other facial wrinkles, in that the amount of proteins like collagen and elastin that your body naturally produces can be affected by your genes. That said, lifestyle factors can also have a significant impact on how soon lines and wrinkles form. Not smoking, wearing sunscreen and not eating too much sugar are all great lifestyle habits for your skin. If you’re bothered by the appearance of nasolabial folds, talk to an experienced cosmetic surgeon about dermal fillers, which can last up to 12 months. Hope this helps to clear things up a bit.
