The lumps can be dissolved in a meticulous manner by using hyalurodinase injection, adding more filler around the existing lumps may not be a good idea. Best of LuckDr. Shanthala
This may not give improvement to the appearance of your bumps. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Juvederm and other fillers can lead to bumpiness. More filler is not likely to help out with these bumps, but you should be evaluated by your injector to identify an approach that could help you. Next time, I would suggest Restylane Refyne or Defyne, which is not associated with lumps and bumps as a side effect, and is new filler technology that works great on lips.Best wishes, Dr. ALDO
I recommend getting a formal consultation to discuss your options. If necessary, the filler can be reversed with hyaluronidase. I hope this helps.
Thank you for posting this question and providing the picture. Since it is more than a month since you received your injections the lumps are probably the Juvederm Ultra Plus and not bruises that could be expected to resolve on their own. I don't think that adding more filler is the best way to address this, because if it is placed as superficially as the lumps are, the filler will only create additional lumps. If the lumps are due to uneven distribution it may be difficult to just place it selectively and get a smooth contour. Your lips are also likely to be larger and look unnatural. It would be much safer and more effective to have the lumps treated with injections of Hyaluronidase to dissolve the Juvederm (it may take more than one session to remove the lumps and the initial Juvederm completely) and then follow-up with new Juvederm no sooner than a week or two later.
Even if you add filler to hide the lumps it would not solve the problem and, more likely, would make your lips not very natural. You can have the lumps dissolve with hyaluronidase in a controller manner and avoid complete removal of the filler. Lumps happen when filler is injected either too superficially on in individual deposits with uneven distribution. Good luck!
If you are unhappy with your the lumps in your lip I would dissolve them first and then add more filler at later injection date. It may take more than one treatment with hyaluronidase to remove the lumps. Good luck with your treatment and correction of your lumps.
I don't think more filler is the correct option. I would start with gentle massage and if this does not help then I would followup with your injector to see if some of the filler needs to be reversed.
Hi,Thank you for your question and photo. Lumps typically resolve spontaneously within a few days or weeks. Massage and rarely hyaluronidase may be helpful. Additional filler may increase the visibility. I would suggest returning to see you doctor/injector. Good Luck,Beverly Friedlander, MD
I do not think that adding more filler will make them less palpable or noticeable. Lumps might reflect filler not evenly distributed, scar tissue, or hematomas potentially. Best to be evaluated in person.
Hello. Genetics can play a role in how early on in life you develop nasolabial folds and other facial wrinkles, in that the amount of proteins like collagen and elastin that your body naturally produces can be affected by your genes. That said, lifestyle factors can also have a significant...

Thank you for your question. What you are experiencing is not normal from lidocaine or lip filler injections. The sudden dizziness and almost passing out could be what’s called a vasovagal response and could be a normal response from pain of the injection. But the s...
