Question

I had a donut lift Aug 16th the surgeon took me back into surgery for burn but I woke up to her opening and re-stitching my breasts to an apparent allergic reaction to the stitches? Stitches removed 9 days later then re-stitched by surgeons professor Sept 16th the switched opened up again about a week later I am no longer in contact with my surgeons tips advice? Do I need to get it stitched again?

Re-stitching the breast is not the answer. The skin is under high tension, and the tissue is thin and compromised. It will heal on its own, just keep it clean with soap and water, and a small amount of petroleum jelly twice daily. The wound will heal, and scar will contract. After 6 months you can consider a scar revision. At this point the skin will have relaxed, and there is a good chance of removing most of the adverse scar.

No the area would not be stitched again.  You will want to have the wound followed by a board certified plastic surgeon.  Regular wound care is needed until the area heals.  You can consider scar revision in the future if desired.

It is very common with breast lifts for these things to occur, especially if a woman is heavy breasted.  With the mastopexy incision, being that it goes around the areola and then down to the breast crease, the weight of your breast will cause tension on that part of the incision,  especially if you are not wearing a supportive enough bra.  In most circumstances,  keeping the incision clean with antibiotic ointment and a sterile gauze will help it heal. A wet to dry technique using some saline solution or distilled water is also another way of helping it to heal up.  It is important to be seen in person by a professional.  In some situations if the area is not getting any better , antibiotics of a Negative Pressure seal may need to be used to guarantee healing.

It appears that your sutures had become infected. As you have had  that area operated on twice, I believe the best way forward would be for you to treat the area conservatively until your wound is fully healed, and the scars are fully matured. At that point, you could decide whether you wanted to do additional revisions or the result is acceptable to you. Operating while you have an open wound means that you’re operating in a contaminated environment and can lead to additional problems.

No, this will need to heal on its own first. If the scar stays wide, it can later be revised. You may fine that the scar heals very nicely.
