Re-stitching the breast is not the answer. The skin is under high tension, and the tissue is thin and compromised. It will heal on its own, just keep it clean with soap and water, and a small amount of petroleum jelly twice daily. The wound will heal, and scar will contract. After 6 months you can consider a scar revision. At this point the skin will have relaxed, and there is a good chance of removing most of the adverse scar.

It is very common with breast lifts for these things to occur, especially if a woman is heavy breasted. With the mastopexy incision, being that it goes around the areola and then down to the breast crease, the weight of your breast will cause tension on that part of the incision, especially if you are not wearing a supportive enough bra. In most circumstances, keeping the incision clean with antibiotic ointment and a sterile gauze will help it heal. A wet to dry technique using some saline solution or distilled water is also another way of helping it to heal up. It is important to be seen in person by a professional. In some situations if the area is not getting any better , antibiotics of a Negative Pressure seal may need to be used to guarantee healing.

As you have had that area operated on twice, I believe the best way forward would be for you to treat the area conservatively until your wound is fully healed, and the scars are fully matured. This will heal. Any permanent suture needs removal first. Then keep clean, debride as needed gently. Cover with bandage that keeps it moist, not dry. No smoking.

It sounds like you had your procedure done at academic medical center with student residence.
There should still be a clinic for you to follow up and even if it’s another plastic surgeon, the doctor or organization that is obligated to help you with your postoperative care.
Ultimately the attending surgeon who supervised the procedure is ultimately responsible.
If you’re not getting the help you need then you may need to advocate for yourself to make sure you get proper postoperative care which should be included with the agreement when you get surgery.
Doctors are not allowed to abandon patients after doing surgery.
When patients develop complications with skin loss after surgery, we usually don’t do secondary closures because this will lead to more complications.
Instead, we let the wound heal by doing proper wound care.
Personally, I rely on the simple wet to dry dressing changes, which you can Google.
Dressing changes should be done fairly frequently in order to keep the wound clean.
My preference is to change dressings at least twice a day.
With time The wound will heal.
