I wanted to share my rhinoplasty experience, which has been a long but rewarding journey. From the start, Dr Szychta was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to listen to my concerns. He explained everything in detail, making me feel confident about the procedure. The surgery itself was long but went smoothly, and while there was some mild pressure and dizziness after anesthesia, the discomfort was much less than I expected. Day 3 was the hardest, with swelling at its peak, but I only had two small bruises and no bleeding. As this was a revision rhinoplasty, I knew recovery would take longer. Now, at month 4, my nose is starting to feel like mine again. I didn’t have the “WOW” moment when the cast came off, as my nose was swollen, with a high tip and some asymmetry due to swelling. But I’m finally IN LOVE with the results. The swelling still fluctuates, and the nostrils can look different each day, but I’m seeing steady improvement and, most importantly, I can breathe again! You have to TRUST THE PROCESS! Overall, I’m really happy with my experience. The recovery process has been gradual, but the final result is definitely worth it. I’d highly recommend Dr Szychta, especially for rhinoplasty, and I’m so grateful to finally be able to breathe easily again! The best surgeon!
At 26, concerns about jowls, under-eye bags, and nasolabial folds are likely due to fat redistribution, skin laxity, or genetics rather than aging alone. Weight loss can sometimes worsen these features as facial fat diminishes.Options to Address Your Concerns: 1. Non-Surgical Treatments: - Dermal Fillers: Add volume to lift nasolabial folds, contour jowls, and under-eye hollows. - Skin Tightening: Treatments like radiofrequency (RF) (e.g., Morpheus8), ultrasound (e.g., Ultherapy), or laser tighten skin non-invasively. - Neuromodulators (Botox): Subtle lifting of facial muscles to smooth fine lines. 2. Surgical Options (for more significant results): - Buccal Fat Removal: Reduces fat in the cheeks to contour the lower face. - Mini Facelift: Tightens early jowling and nasolabial folds. - Lower Blepharoplasty: Corrects under-eye bags. 3. Skincare and Maintenance: - Focus on retinoids, vitamin C, and SPF to improve skin texture and elasticity. Consult a skilled plastic surgeon or dermatologist to tailor a combination of treatments for subtle, youthful results. Non-surgical options are ideal at your age.
A Fleur-de-Lis 360 abdominoplasty is often recommended for patients with significant weight loss who have both vertical and horizontal skin laxity. Unlike a standard tummy tuck, it removes excess skin front-to-back and side-to-side, leaving an additional vertical scar.If you have significant skin laxity across your midline (vertical and horizontal), the Fleur-de-Lis can give a more dramatic improvement by tightening the waist and abdomen. The surgeon's estimate of a 20-30% better result suggests the additional scar could make a noticeable difference in contour. If the extra scar is a concern, ask the surgeon for before-and-after photos of similar cases to visualize the improvement. Ultimately, it’s about your priorities—better contour vs. additional scarring. If the improved shape outweighs the scar for you, the Fleur-de-Lis may be worthwhile.
If you feel all three procedures (upper bleph, lower bleph, and brow lift) are needed: 1. Lower Blepharoplasty: Removes puffiness or hollowness under the eyes. 2. Brow Lift: Elevates low or heavy brows, opening the upper eyelid area. 3. Upper Blepharoplasty: May not be necessary if brow heaviness causes upper lid hooding. If your brow bone is prominent, consider brow reduction for a smoother appearance. A third opinion with an experienced oculoplastic surgeon can clarify the best combination of procedures for your goals.
The implants in the first picture likely appear to be high-profile, offering a fuller upper pole. For your 176 cm height, 57 kg weight, and 12 cm breast width, high-profile implants would give more projection, while moderate-plus would provide a softer, more natural look. Share the reference photo with your surgeon to guide implant selection based on your anatomy and aesthetic goals.
Rhinoplasty can straighten and improve your nose while maintaining a natural size and shape. Communicate your desire for a "normal" look, not overly reduced, to your surgeon. Choose a board-certified surgeon with experience in creating balanced, proportional results. A consultation will help confirm if rhinoplasty is the right option for your goals.
