so i got a breastlift 6 months ago extremely unhappy with results, nothing is symmetrical and bad scars, is this even fixable? I'm afraid i don't have enough skin to make the nipples smaller or more symmetrical, they also seem to sit to high. talked to dr miami and he even said he wouldn't mess with it and that he feels bad for me. This hurt me more then ever and this is really been messing with my mental health/emotional. Please someone tell me if this is even fixable.1 year postop in march 2025
Answer: Unhappy I'm sorry you are unhappy with your breast lift. You could consider downsizing the areola but there is no guarantee that the tissue won't stretch again. At one year post op you could consider scar revision to help improve your results. I've included a video I hope you find helpful.

Answer: This is fixable The areolas can be corrected with permanent buried sutures. There is some asymmetry, but it may not be to the point where it is worth a further large surgery. You do appear to have some bottoming out, which leads to an apparent rise in the nipples. This may be due to weak skin and dermis from significant weight loss, or not wearing supportive bras. In any case, seek the care of a board certified plastic surgeon, and get the expert help you need.

Answer: Revision Your scars can be revised in an attempt to make them look better but there is no guarantee. If you have enough fat, you could undergo fat transfer to create a more symmetrical appearance. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Revision A breast lift revision, also known as a mastopexy revision, is a surgical procedure that addresses aesthetic and practical issues with the breasts: Reshaping: The breast tissue is reshaped to improve contour and firmness Repositioning: The nipples are repositioned to a more attractive location Scar removal: Excess scar tissue is removed or minimized Implant replacement: Implants can be removed and replaced with new ones, or the size or shape of the implant can be changed Symmetry: The breasts are readjusted to create symmetry Dog ear removal: Excess skin that forms at the end of scars is removed The procedure is similar to the initial breast lift surgery, and typically uses the same incision route. However, depending on the individual, less extensive surgery may be performed. Breast lift revision is a major surgery that requires a period of recovery, including wearing a compression bra and taking time off from work and exercise. It's recommended to wait at least six months before deciding to have a breast lift revision.

Answer: Breast lift revision Dear jasminoxo, I'm sorry for your dissatisfaction and emotional distress. There are a few things that we are missing and a few points to be made. Your preoperative photos and information on breast lift technique used would be helpful. The breasts/nipple/areolae, on almost every woman, are not symmetrical. The old quip, "they are sisters, not twins," might apply. Your scars, although maybe unsightly right now, are not fully matured and will likely improve with further healing. A revision to reduce your areolae and medialize your nipples somewhat is not out of the question, but would be contingent on the information above and an in person evaluation of your skin characteristics. Good luck!
