Volite did not fill my lip lines. Would Voluma be a better option? Or was it that not enough was injected?

You may want to consider a different filler before going right from Volite to Voluma. Other options are Juvederm Volbella which is specifically designed for the lips, or even Juvederm Ultra. Voluma can be used but it is a thicker filler and may give you an unnatural feel to the lips.

Your question is a good one! While it can be difficult to say online which product its best for any singular patient, it should be noted that some products work better, or differently, than others. In this case, it seems more Volite could perhaps fill your lip lines. Alternatively, you could also consider the consistency of Juvederm. Given that Voluma is a thicker agent, it may fill your lip lines in a better way to achieve the results you were looking for.However, all of that is to say that you would still need to consult with your doctor. Juvederm could have some effects that perhaps you may not want to deal with. Whereas, adding more Volite could be just what you need. All of this should be discussed with a doctor.

Thank you for sharing your excellent question and I am sorry that your results have not been what you anticipated.  It sounds as if you may require a slightly thicker filler to achieve the results you would like, with most patients needing between 1-2 syringes for their lips anyhow.  Options like Volift may lead to a better result for you.  Hope this helps.

Voluma is too thick to be used in such a delicate area, and is best used for deep injections of the cheeks and jawline. I have had success treating lip lines with Juvederm Vollure as a deeper injection to the base layer and then another layer of Vollure to each individual lip line after that. Vollure, like Voluma, doesn't absorb as much water as Juvederm Ultra and therefore goes in like honey without too much swelling after. This is just one option of many for treating lip lines, but Voluma is not ideal.
