I recently had Volite injected into lips. The first two days were great likely due to swelling as after that my lips looked exactly the same as they did before the injections. My concern is that this product may not be enough to fill my lip lines, and would Voluma be a better option? Can Volite skin boosters provide lip line rejuvenation? I'm concerned that if I go back for Volite, I may have the same problem and not see a difference. Or maybe not enough was injected? Help!

Answer: NO Voluma, but many other options Voluma is too thick to be used in such a delicate area, and is best used for deep injections of the cheeks and jawline. I have had success treating lip lines with Juvederm Vollure as a deeper injection to the base layer and then another layer of Vollure to each individual lip line after that. Vollure, like Voluma, doesn't absorb as much water as Juvederm Ultra and therefore goes in like honey without too much swelling after. This is just one option of many for treating lip lines, but Voluma is not ideal.

Answer: Unhappy with Lip Augmentation with HA-Based Injectable Fillers Like Juvederm, Volbella, Restylane -- Dissolve with Hyaluronidase If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have the filler dissolved with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
