I had voluma injected on my chin 3.5 years back. It didn’t look good then. But I didn’t dissolve it thinking it would go away in 1 year. But it has been 3.5 years and it is still there. In my body any hyaluronic filler (restylane/juvederm) stays a long long time. Is it possible to remove this odd looking voluma? Or is it a better idea to balance it out but filling rest of the indentations?

Answer: Yes! If Voluma was the filler product used in your chin treatment, it can be dissolved to revert back to your original facial structure. Typically, a provider will inject a small amount of hyaluronidase directly into the area where the filler has been injected. The amount of hyaluronidase used may range from a few drops to a few units, depending on the specific case. It's important to note that while hyaluronidase can be an effective method of removing filler, it should only be administered by a qualified healthcare professional who has experience with this procedure. Incorrect use of hyaluronidase can cause skin irritation or allergic reactions, so it's important to seek treatment from a licensed medical professional.

Answer: Voluma Hi @Rhea13! Luckily, Voluma is a Hyaluronic Acid Filler. Thus, it can be dissolved with Hylenex. I would recommend dissolving the product. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!

Answer: Voluma dissolution Thank you for this great question! I think both of the abovementioned options can bring you satisfying results, the choice just depends on what exactly you want to change or what kind of result you want to achieve. In that, you should consult with a specialised cosmetic surgeon and take his suggestions into account when making your decision. If you're not satisfied with the results of a hyaluronic acid treatment, you can always 'reverse' it using Hyaluronidase, which dissolved hyaluronic acid! Best of luck!
