Is it possible to dissolve Voluma?

Question

I had voluma injected on my chin 3.5 years back. It didn’t look good then. But I didn’t dissolve it thinking it would go away in 1 year. But it has been 3.5 years and it is still there. In my body any hyaluronic filler (restylane/juvederm) stays a long long time. Is it possible to remove this odd looking voluma? Or is it a better idea to balance it out but filling rest of the indentations?

Fortunately, Voluma can be dissolved using hyaluronidase, an enzyme that works to reverse any treatment using a hyaluronic acid filler. That being said, sometimes additional filler placed skillfully in the lower face can create a beautiful result-especially the chin! It is important to find a skilled physician who understands the anatomy and balance of the lower face. I think both of the abovementioned options can bring you satisfying results, the choice just depends on what exactly you want to change or what kind of result you want to achieve. In that, you should consult with a specialised cosmetic surgeon and take his suggestions into account when making your decision. 
If you're not satisfied with the results of a hyaluronic acid treatment, you can always 'reverse' it using Hyaluronidase, which dissolved hyaluronic acid!

Luckily there is an option to have your filler dissolved with Hyaluronidase. Hyaluronidase can be used as an aid in helping your body absorb other injected medications. It is difficult to answer that question without pictures or an in-person exam. I really depends on the appearance. In general I usually prefer to dissolve incorrectly placed filler first and then start again. However if it is just a small indentation that can easily be corrected by adding a little filler that would be the way to go. It is also possible that the irregular appearance of the chin is caused by an overactive muscle in which case adding a little Botox can be great to smooth out the chin. Good luck!
