Lip bruising and lumps after lip fillers. Is this a normal reaction? (photo)

There can be both swelling and lumps after lip injections which can last 1 to 2 weeks. You can apply firm pressure between two fingers on the lips for a few days, for 5 minutes a time, in order to help decrease swelling and even out the lumps. To diminish the bruising, I recommend using LightStim LED or, in more significant cases, a vascular laser or IPL treatment. Arnica with Bromelain ("Arnika Forte") can also be taken to help speed up the healing.If you're unhappy with your final results after 2 weeks, you can have the filler dissolved and try a different technique next time. Bruising and swelling can occur after filler treatments. It can take up to two weeks for the filler to settle and for you to see your final results. If after that time you have concerns, visit with your surgeon for an evaluation.

Thank you for your question.It may be bruising inside the lip or swelling. I would give it a week to calm down, if it doesn't resolve return to your injector to have the evaluate it in person.
