Is there still a significant change in results after 4 weeks post lipo, or are these close to my results? (photos)

I had tumescent lipo done on aug/13 on my upper/lower abdomen and flanks. My original weight was 135 and I'm 5"3. Ive seen some changes over the last few weeks but not nearly close to what I'm hoping for. When i went in to see my dr 2 weeks post op, he said he took everything he could from my flanks, there was nothing left. In total he said he took 1300cc's out, 800cc of that was from the front, the rest was from the flanks. How much more can I expect to see when it comes to results?

It will take 6 months for you to see the final results from tumescent liposuction.  The peak swelling occurs at 6 weeks, so at one month we expect nothing except that the clothes might fit better.

It is still a bit early to know what your final result will be. Things are still very swollen at 4 weeks and there is a lot of healing yet to happen. Continue to wear your pressure garment and wait until at least six months post surgery before even considering judging your results.

Thank you for your pictures. Liposuction takes 3 to 6 months before you finally see the in result. You will make slow progress over that time. Your pictures look good for weeks and you will probably have a very nice result.

If a patient has been good about wearing garments, then at 4 weeks they are about maybe 75% healed in regards shrinkage. If you still feel the firm swelling in the lipo areas you will get smaller. Most of the swelling at this point is usually at the lower part of the suction area due to gravity.

It can take up to 3-6 months to see final results. The skin takes that much time to fully retract and there is still inflammation for a few months.The amount he took out (1300 cc's) seems about right and your results seem symmetrical so that's good news.Keep us posted on how you are doing as time progresses and hopefully you will be happy with your end results.

The final result after liposuction is not seen until at least 3 months postop, sometimes longer.  The skin needs to tighten and "redrape" over your new contour.  Be patient - it takes some time!

Your results look fairly typical for being four weeks out from liposuction.My guess is you have carried at least one full pregnancy and have mild muscle separation, some mild skin laxity and some extra belly fat.If I'm correct, then liposuction will have treated one out of your three issues, and the results are quite typical for being four weeks postop.Your results are close to final, but you should see some changes over the next several months.If you feel dissatisfied, then my guess is your expectations may have been set a little bit higher than what could be achieved with liposuction by itself.I cannot tell with all certainty if there's room for improvement from the liposuction.
