My surgery date was on 09/12/16 around 9am. I was told not take any medications as they would provide you with pain killers in the office. My procedure was smart lipo on the upper, lower abdomen and the flank area. I was explained the whole procedure on my consultation, including the exact price i would be spending. On the day of my procedure, they had taken before pictures and set me in a gown. I would recommend to wear long socks because the surgery room tends to get really cold. After the have covered me up with a drape in front of me so i won't see whats going on, they injected local anesthetic to all the parts they needed and i won't lie it hurt a lot, it was very very very uncomfortable. Once they numbed me I was good to go. In total they made 5 incisions but with the cannula so its really not an incision. At first when they inserted the cannula it felt fine, i was completely numb, after a while it got very uncomfortable as I couldn't take it. But that was towards the end, they were able to take a lot of fat out. I would recommend to keep a compression garment on the day of surgery, because you will leak a lot. After the procedure was done i was able to walk. When I got home I had to change the pads all over the incision areas. I was very nausea at that point because I was seeing my own blood and on top the pain killers were wearing off. The first 2 days were hell for me. I was constantly throwing up, I could not eat or drink anything because all I would do is vomit.After the second day, I started to feel much better and normal. You will see bruises all over your abdomen and flank area because thats the area where it was treated. Your stomach will feel hard and its normal. I was told to keep the compression garment on for 2 months straight because the results are more effective and so far I see such big difference. I had followed up with Dr. Singer on 10/24/16, so a little over a month after my surgery, and i cannot express how happy I am with my results. I have started the gym again, and it makes me more motivated than ever. Dr. Singer said I had amazing results for just one month, and I would see more difference in another 6 months to a year. If I were to recommend this to someone who has a little flabby stomach, and love handles, I can guarantee you, that you won't regret this choice. Its one of the best things I have ever done for myself. I feel much more comfortable in my body. I would definitely recommend Dr. Singer, he is an amazing surgeon, he knows what he is doing, and he is willing to hear you out with your concerns.

This is an update of my abdomen an flanks after a month and half. Really excited, I've been hitting the gym 5 days a week so it's really helping a lot!

I went to American Lipo for liposuction of my flanks, and upper and lower abs by Dr. Singer. During the consultation and on the day of surgery, he told me I could expect to lose everything I can pinch. To start, the surgery was very painful. I doubt enough anesthesia was used because I felt pain and burning the entire time. I toughed it out expecting results. That was not the case. I have nothing to show for the thousands of dollars I spent but some ugly scars in my belly button. (see photos attached) When I went back to see Dr. Singer, he rudely dismissed me by saying I needed to lose 50 pounds and recommended a weight loss clinic. If that was the case, why wasn’t it mentioned in my consultation before they took my money? I have made several attempts to correct the situation with American Lipo over the lsat 3 months. They gave me the run-around, scheduling and randomly rescheduling appointments. I had a consultation with another one of their doctors who agreed that Dr. Singer should have taken out more and that I really would benefit from a tummy tuck, not lipo. I came to an agreement with Mack, their office director to do a mini tummy tuck and redo the lipo at a reasonable additional fee. When it was time to schedule the surgery, the addition fee tripled. The entire consultation was spent bargaining with the finesse of a used car salesman as opposed to a medical procedure. I left feeling bullied and cheated by American Lipo. I would strongly warn everyone against using this company. They are only out to get your money and really do not care about their patients once they have it. My results speak for themselves. I brought my concerns to the practice director and alc staff and they addressed my concerns to my satisfaction including a reevaluation by one of their other surgeons.

Thry were to the point . It happejed in time. No waits. If u habe low tolerance for psin get general. Results vidible in two months. No sude effects. U have to follow post op instructions. I helped myself and speed up the process by changing my eating habits as suggested by the doctor. I just went for my follow up and saw my before pics and everytging is just great. Thank yiu american lipo and dr singer. :)

I give dr singer and American lipo 5 stars. I am very happy and go dancing now. My husband is also very happy. I used to wear size 16 now I feel like I'm down to 8. I feel like I'm a teen now. I'm ready to refer my friends and family to American lipo and dr joel. My lips was done under local at their office on park ave. no pain. Very comforyable.

I Wanted a subtle fat transfer to the hips so I consulted dr singer and he listened to me and was very kind and experienced.
I do not have a lot of fat so he removed from a few different sites to assure I got desirable results
The entire procedure was a breeze after numbing. I have no major pain or complaints. I am currently compressed and cannot wait for final results

I cant stop looking at myself, swelling and all. Lots of good pain...let's me know that a copious amount of fat was removed :-)
I havent taken any pain killers as yet...sucking it up. Those pain killers make you drowsy lol. I have too much to do today

Eating healthy fats to supplement the fat transferred. Nuts, olive oil, greek Yogurt, avocado. I want most of the fat to take. Its holding on so far. I dont want to lose a lot of the cells. I will cut down in a couple of weeks. Btw, i have greaaat pics. pm me for photos if youre interested. The world is too small

31 y.o no kids.. I'm a pretty clean eater.. I worked out with a trainer and saw amazing results I could not lose my tummy.. It would go away slightly but I still felt self conscious in a bathing suit.. Got laser lipo today! I'll post my progress. The procedure was most uncomfy.. I was awake and felt every thing. The pre meds made me loopy but as soon as he started I was in pain! Some spots just pressure others I wanted to scream! The lido (numbing meds just the needle hurt) dr singer is super nice! Kept talking to me and was very comforting! I'll keep you posted on progress.. Right now Im in bed lots of leaking with this garmet eek.. I haven't had to take more than Tylenol.. ((Percocet makes me sick)) hopefully the pain doesn't get worst...

Not in terrible pain.. Able to do minimal task.. Drained a lot over night. Spoke with nurse she said this is normal. Showered today and took off bandages.. Still swollen but I can see results.

Hi! So one week out and I'm ok.. I'm stil tender in spots.. No major pain.. I've been wearing this CG 24 hours a day.. With the exception of showering and washing it. I hope Im still swollen.. No major changes from what I can see.. But I'll take some pics tomorrow and upload for you guys!

I am having Laser Lipo on 5/14. I have had Zeltiq in the past, but was looking for a bigger result. I currently weigh 180 and am 5'9". Size 12.

I made the appointment through American Lipo Centers. There was an error in scheduling my consultation, and they credited me with a discount for the trouble, which was good customer service.

Excited and a little nervous for my laser lipo this week. I was sent complete pre and post op instructions from Dr. Singer's office and I, after reading reviews on this site, purchased arnica tablets and cream. I am starting to take the arnica today as it is 24 hours before the procedure in hopes of less swelling and made an appointment for lymphatic drainage massage next week as was suggested by the document sent.

Dr. Singer was great-very nice, took time to answer my questions and make jokes to help me feel comfortable.
Felt a little pain sometimes during process, but nothing too bad and slept most of the day. Pain not too bad now, though I definately know when the drugs wear off.

I feel like myself again today, after sleeping most of yesterday and the day of the procedure. As you can see, my swelling and bruising is pretty minimal. The tape measure reads pretty much as before, which is encouraging to me as I know I am swollen. I have been wearing my garment all the time, using ice packs (on top of the garment) and eating pineapple and taking arnica. As you can see, I have some bruising, but not too bad. Still hurts when I sit up or stand and roll over, but am fine when I am still.
I have an appointment with Dr. Singer next week, and am optimistic based on my progress so far.

Measuring tape is going down and I am making marks on my binding garment to keep track of how tight I can make it, and it is much smaller. I am still pretty swollen, so I had lymphatic massage yesterday.

I am starting to really see the results. I have traded the compression garment for really tight spanx, which I still wear 24/7. My clothes feel more loose, even though I am still swollen. Most of the swelling in my upper abdomen and flanks has gone away, but I am still pretty swollen and "lumpy" in the lower area. Might go for another lymphatic massage. Overa, feeling pretty good for only 2 weeks out!

I am overall quite happy with my results, though I have an unevenness on one side. After my visit today, Dr. Singer said he could fix with a touch up for $500, which I chose to do.

Dr.Singer did an excellent job. His office and Isabel (his assistant ) were professional, courteous and performed perfectly. I had upper, lower flanks and back done. Iam more than happy with the results. I am 5 weeks post op and I am already happy with my results. My waist is smaller than when I was a teen!!

I have been researching all types of procedures over the past year and have experimented with creams as well as non-invasive treatments. The results were always temporary and even though it did not seem like it was costly - I was spending about $200.00 each week for about 16 weeks - had I known that the results were not going to be more permanent I would have applied that money to a more permanent solution. I found American Lip Center while browsing online and decided to schedule a consultation mainly because they were having a 50% promotion. Isabel - Dr. Singer's assistant is excellent she is so friendly and well-informed about the procedures and after talking with Dr. Singer I decided to have smartlipo on my stomach, inner thighs and waist done - I am still in the healing stage but I am already starting to see a lot of results - as well as other people noticing my weight loss. I cannot wait until I am completely healed because then I am going to have Dr. Singer perform a mini tummy tuck as well as a breast lift.

I had lipo about a year ago but needed a touchup. I consulted with Dr Singer who is a very experienced Dr. I had my procedure done Thursday and its now Sunday. I went to work friday though I felt a little fatigued. Im back to my regularly scheduled life. Nearl pain free. Worked out today. I wear my garment religiously. I am still swollen and have accumulated some lumps (which ive already started massaging). Im aware and already expect this since its my second time around. I honestly dont remember much of the procedure, that's the beauty of it lol. Dr singer removed a nice amount of fat even fr areas i didn't expect which Im thankful for. He has worked with my curves and gave me an even nicer shape. The appointment was a little delayed but It was a good turnout. I will update weekly on my progress. Ill post pics soon as well

Today ive done a lot of massaging (that's the key to a perfect result ). I love my results so far. I will exercise today. I cannot wait to post pics. Cant believe how fast the recovery

Girls and guys. After care is very impt. WATER, GARMENT, MASSAGE. never be discouraged by your first few weeks or even months after lipo. Swelling takes time to subside. Be patient. Also, exercise to get the free floating fat that was obliterated and not sucked out, out of your system. I hope that makes sense lol. Until tomorrow. Pics coming in a week

Ive been VERYY DEPRESSED as of lately. Ive just realized a week ago that my flanks are FILLED with scars from the canulla insertion. Ive gotten my entire abdomen and flanks done already and had available entry marks. Now i can NEVER wear a swim suit because my entire back /side yell "Ive had lipo". I literally am under so much stress and regret. I expressed to dr singer abt my concern of new scars. Now im riddled with gunshot wound that are OUTSTANDING. Im disappointed. I have 8 new marks on my flanks. They are VERY OUTSTANDING. Im not sure if they were running out of time but they have to understand that we're human and this affects us the rest of our lives. Let me go dwell in my depression.

To add, i havent heard anything from the drs office since the procedure, like the first time around.

Im now looking into paying even more money for tattooing or scar modification. What a waste of money. I counted over 12 new incisions excluding the ones in my belly button. What a joke. I look like my entire flank area has chicken pox...HORRIBLEEEE.

I met with Dr singer yesterday and wish i presented my issue before I wrote my review.

He is adamantly working to make me happy. I reviewed some silicone scar sheets which should help with scarring. I am also not done healing

I am scheduled to come in 6.2
