My doctor said burning pain on side of left breast 4 days post op is normal? (Photos)

The picture you submitted looks appropriate for 4 days postop. Burning pain that early on is not uncommon either. If it is very bothersome, your surgeon can provide some medications for you which should help.

Congratulations on your surgery, you look great.  Yes, burning sensation after breast augmentation is completely normal.  You may have it in one breast and not the other, you may have it in both or not at all.This is simple nerve pain and will resolve over time.Hope that helps.

I understand your concern. Based on your photo and description of pain, it sounds like you have a normal postoperative pain which can sometimes occur in very early postoperative period.However, without a proper assessment it would be difficult to determine what is wrong.  If you are concernes, I suggest you to consult your plastic surgeon again.

At four days post op burning pain that is relieved with position change is normal. The nerves may have been stretched or irritated during surgery. This should improve as swelling resolves and healing continues. A cool compress to the area for a few minutes may help. If it doesn't improve speak with your surgeon about other options.

Burning sensation after surgery can be a very normal part of healing. That being said, if it worsens or you notice increase in redness or swelling or significant increase in pain, I would call to be evaluated by your PS. Good luck.

The pain you are describing can be very normal after breast augmentation and should resolve over time. Some patients will feel this all the way to the nipple.  It is related to the nerve that is on the side of the breast. Ask your Plastic Surgeon if it is ok with him/her if you can  take some scheduled anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen. Good luck
