I am going in for a vaginal hysterectomy in November. I would also like to get a tummy tuck with lipo after. I do not want to do the 2 surgeries together. Quite frankly I am nervous about general anesthesia and do not want to be under longer than I should! How soon can I safely get a tummy tuck with lipo after my hysterectomy?
Answer: How soon after hysterectomy can I get a tummy tuck with lipo? In an uncomplicated case, you may want to wait at least 3 months before having the lipo and TT. Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Los Angeles, CA

Answer: Tummy tuck after hysterectomy Dear Traynice, most plastic surgeons would recommend you to wait 3 months after a major surgery before considering another surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. You will get the best recommendations after a thorough examination.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery

Answer: How soon after hysterectomy can I get a tummy tuck with lipo? Hello dear!! Thanks for the question and provided information as well. I recommend my patient complete properly the healing process of the previous surgery in order to have another one. It depends on each patient, most of the time is between 6 months and one year. I recommend to book a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area to discuss the best options for your goals. Good luck :)
