I have a hole from my TT plus two tunneling wounds that are still open and getting bigger, what do I do? (Photos)

I would recommend that you discuss this question with your surgeon as every surgeon has their own respective post op protocol for his/her patients.  Your surgeon is your best resource as he/she is most familiar with your medical history and how you are healing at this time.

The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam.

Sara1962-I am sorry to hear about your wound healing problems. While uncommon, these types of complications can be very frustrating. Most cases require simple wound care, but when healing becomes prolonged or there is tunneling, a small revision surgery may help speed things along.It is very difficult for us to give advice without an in-person assessment and review of your medical records. I would encourage you to discuss your concerns with your surgeon and if necessary, seek a second opinion.Good luck

Thank you for sharing your question and I am sorry to hear of your wound healing difficulties.  Unfortunately this will take several months to fully heal with conservative, local wound care but at least it appears to be clean and non-infected.  Your body will need this amount of time to fill from the inside-out with the dressing changes you are likely performing daily.  Hang in there!

The area looks like it is healing but still is open. Taking steps to optimize your nutrition and not expose yourself to tobacco or nicotine will also help your healing move along faster   

I am sorry that you are having complications. As noted below this will heal with wound care and time. No one can predict how long it will take to fully heal without serial exams and followup. Please follow closely with your plastic surgeon. I know it is frustrating but it will get better.

Sorry to hear this happened to you. With proper wound care it will heal, but it takes time. Work with your plastic surgeon on this but consider a second opinion if not healing. 

Thanks for the question.  It appears that you had a Fleur-de-Lis type tummy tuck with an inverted T type incision.  These wounds often have wound healing issues at the bottom of the inverted T which is exactly where your wound has broken down.  At this point, local wound care with daily dressing changes and frequent followups with your surgeon is your best option.  I also recommend increasing your daily protein intake to 80 gm/day to enhance wound healing.  There is also a product called Juven which is a protein supplement that helps with healing.
