After second pregnancy, this time with twins, I have some excess skin, not so much that it really hangs while stood up but if I'm leaning forward etc I get a pouch that hangs forward. Also my belly button is stretched out. I feel like tummy tucks look unnatural and I hate the enormous scar. I don't think the skin is so bad it needs such a drastic surgery so I was hoping there would be an alternative procedure, similar in a way to a donut breast-lift but around the belly-button instead?

Answer: Tummy tuck around the belly button No such procedure exist. It would look terrible. The only way to remove skin is by cutting it out, and leaving a scar. The vast majority of patients feel that the scar, is done correctly, is an awesome trade offBest of luck! Dr. SubbioBoard-Certified Plastic SurgeonNewtown Square/Philadelphia, PA

Answer: Tummy Tuck or Lipo with Jplasma Hello and thank-you for your question and photos. Based on your photos, I thin that you would have a good result with either liposuction alone or combined with a tummy tuck. An in person consultation with a physical examination would be essential in determining if liposuction alone would meet your surgical goals. If you do extensive liposuction as the sole procedure, you will need some type of skin tightening device along with it such as J-Plasma or Imode BodyTite. A tummy tuck combine with liposuction would give the best result in terms of flattening and tightening the tummy, but has the disadvantage of scarring and a longer recovery. So if getting back to activities quickly is your preference, then look into J-Plasma or BodyTite with Vaser liposuction. I would recommend an in person consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who is well versed in all aspects of body contouringBest regards, Andrew Lyos MD, FACS Tweet

Answer: Vaser ultrasound liposuction for tummy Personally, many of my patients avoid tummy tuck with Vaser ultrasound liposuction. This will remove stubborn fat and tighten skin without the large scar and recovery of a tummy tuck.(It will not flatten muscles, but you don't appear to need that)An exam and consultation with a plastic surgeon who performs these procedures is recommended to confirm you are a candidate as well as discuss your options and expectations.
