Is 4 vials of Kybella too much for 1 treatment?

Question

I’ve been reading that most people need 2 vials and 2-3 treatments. I just had my first treatment and they used 4 vials. Will I need to go for a second treatment or should I see a great improvement in a few weeks or months?

The amount of kybella done per treatment will be determined based off the patient needs. Typically if I have a patient with a decent about of fullness under the chin I like to start with at least 2 vials and have the return with in 6 to 8 weeks to be reevaluated.I suggest asking what protocol the doctor you selected to performing this treatment likes to follow. The amount of Kybella needed will vary and needs an in-person evaluation. Keep in mind, a combination approach with other treatments is needed to get the most improvement with non-invasive options. I recommend Kybella with thermage, ultherapy, exilis. VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF is the best alternative for contouring the chin. The amount of Kybella needed varies from patient to patient and is based on the size of the treatment area. Even with dosing greater than two vials, it is possible that you may need additional treatments to achieve your desired results.

4 vials of Kybella is a reasonable amount for a larger pocket of fat in a double chin.  An experienced physician can judge the right amount for you.

Thankyou for your question. the dose of kybella depends on the size of the area that needs to be treated. you are correct that most people need 2 vials which equals 4mls of kybella but there are many people that would also require 4 vials. With Kybella you will need a minimum of 2 treatments but most patients require more.Hope this helps and good luck
