I’m really happen I went with Dr.Baron. I have insufficient glandular tissue and didn’t not feel confident about my breast appearance. Dr.Baron performed a breast augmentation and lift and afterwards I woke up asking if the procedure was done lol my pain was so well controlled I didn’t feel any soreness that first day! I went from a not full 34B to a 34C/D with 350cc. If I had to go back I would probably do 385cc but I was so worried about if any of my colleagues would say anything to me about the change and no one has! Perhaps because I wore padded bras before and don’t now. You mainly see the difference once I’m undressed or in a swimsuit. I wish I could have felt this confident years ago.
OMG Excellent Surgeon! Dr. Baron is just wonderful and very serious about her craft! I was blessed with this Mommy Makeover as a gift! I surely accepted it. I had my procedure at Northside Hospital 9-30-21 I stayed the night my ENTIRE surgical team was all Black Queens (which is rare their scheduling just worked out that way) However I felt so blessed it was deeply spiritual for me.Can you believe everyone, i mean every person I encountered from her staff to surgical team gave Outstanding Care and Professionalism! I want everyone to know we have Brilliant Surgeons here in Atlanta and she is the absolute BEST! Have you read her Bio and all her accomplishments!I am so honored and grateful for my experience. It’s seems since Covid everything is transactional less creating an experience and this was my life I wanted someone who actually cared for my well being! I am happy with my decision! I'm only 2 weeks POST OP! She Is a beautiful person inside and out. BTW I had Breast Lift w Implants, Tummy Tuck and Lipo 360! Updated on 5 Nov 2021: I am still very swollen. No more pain meds I just take Tylenol arthritis capsules if Im really feeling some aches. My job is demanding so she is making me truly rest sooo I am launching a podcast since I have free time. Pineapple tea 2xs day. Eating clean with mindfulness exercises, just taking it day by day! Oh yeah I am in a smaller garment but I wear my foams during the day. I am a firm believer in wearing a garment. I will wear it for a min a yr for maximum results. I have 3 so far in rotation as my swelling decreases I can enjoy a variety of shapers Looking forward to getting back with my personal trainer soon as Dr B states all is well. Any questions just ask! Blessings to all! I am very pleased with my results and Dr B’s work! I have BOOBS Updated on 26 Dec 2021: I love my Boobs! Dr. Baron provided me with the results of my dreams, a brand new confidence, and she really put my mind at ease and I knew I was in good hands. May God continue to bless you and guide your hand during surgery. Thank you for the impeccable care you and your staff provided me during my recent procedure. My breast reduction surgery results already exceeded my expectations.
Dr. Baron and her staff are amazing. From beginning to end I felt comfortable and valuable. Every question I had she answered and never once made me feel awkward, she made me feel at ease and was very detailed. Even after my surgery when I had some issues and needed advice after hours she was there. I had a great experience and I'm glad I went through with it.
I have had one child 30 years ago but I always had weak stomach muscles. I’ve had hernia repair and liposuction over a decade ago and workout with a trainer 3 times a week but found that in order to get my stomach to become flatter, those were not things that would fix that. Dr. Baron confidently showed me that my issue mainly was muscles that have been stretched out with no way to retract and that I would need muscle repair. She also noted in my consultation that my bellybutton was distended and in need of repair. She also mentioned that a tummy tuck with the muscle repair wouldn’t be complete without removing excess fat around my back, flanks and brought overhang. The complete procedure consisted of a tummy tuck, muscle repair, hernia repair and liposuction. On this date, December 28, 2018, I am eight days post op, surgery was December 20, 2018. I will update my journey as I my heal. Updated on 30 Dec 2018: At 55, I was not interested in a traditional outpatient procedure. No one suggested that I needed to an overnight stay, that was my common sense. In my research, including friends under 40 who recently had the procedure, I did not think popping in for this very invasive procedure would realistically be the best option for me at my age. I'm dealing with healing at 55 vs 35. No ma'am was I going to be going home the same day so I found a doctor that required a 23 hour outpatient observation (over night) practice for all of her patients. Do what you must even as a very healthy 55 year old, once a female is over 50, you have to be released for surgery by a cardiologist! I workout 3 times a week with a personal trainer so I knew my body was in shape. DO NOT attempt this type of surgery without being moderately in shape!!! Updated on 30 Dec 2018: I was not allowed to remove the garment until after my first post op visit with the doctor, day 6. These photos show some of the bruising from the liposuction to my back/flanks. This is under my armpit area, just lifting up my arm, a little side boob and above the garment. Additional photo shows drains pinned to garment. What a pain. I wasn't in the worst pain yet, looks like the anesthesia hadn't worn off at that time but it was coming. Just felt stuffed in the garment, like I could not move. Pleased to see how tight things were though. Updated on 30 Dec 2018: Tried to post these pictures before, see details with same title. Site requires more info so I'll duplicate my prior post since I cannot delete that one. I was not allowed to remove the garment until after my first post op visit with the doctor, day 6. Feeling the pain. The biggest thing, sleeping! I choose to sleep in a recliner with a bunch of pillows so that I don't have to climb into my king sized bed. I know it was best choice, but pain is still what it is so sleeping on my back was the was to go. A very 'full' sense of course with the garment being so tight with the swelling not helping but tolerable. I was up moving around from day one, a lot, probably too much but at 55, I knew the more movement the better. Updated on 30 Dec 2018: Just a photo from day 3 post op. Lots of bruises. Skin impressions are from garment. Just happy I have garment off for a few minutes because that thing is so tight and hard to breathe. Finally, a shower in my future! Pleased at potential body shape. Updated on 31 Dec 2018: Using a mesh shower bag to hold my drains for showering. The warm water feels so good. 10 days post op. Swelling, numbness and maybe a little bloating. Black apron for drains as I give myself a little relief from the garment. Just sitting around allowing stitches to breathe. Updated on 3 Jan 2019: Just a little update on progress. I still have my drains. They are driving me bunkers. I wish they could be removed but one of them is still accumulating 30-35 ml a day while the other is less than 10 ml. The guide by MY doctor is to be below 25 ml a day for 2 days in order to remove. I was praying I would not have to go another weekend but it seems like I will. On another note, pain is pretty low but soreness alive and well. I am massaging my sides and back as much as possible, to move this fluid along. I'm also drinking a lot of water to flush these toxins OUT. I'm working from home while making sure to get up hourly, once or twice, to move around. I'm stretching my arms above my head, to the side and stuff. Trying to keep it all loose. I'm so ready to get on a treadmill, LOL, but I know I can't and I won't. I just want to go walking and it's now cold and rainy outside so I'm walking up and down the stairs in my home, down, around, hitting each room, increasing my steps on my FitBit, to keep things moving. I do not have much feeling in my lower abs at this time but I know it will come back later. Must keep compression garment on. Generally speaking, I feel pretty good. Updated on 7 Jan 2019: Finally, 18 days later, my drains were removed! Scary, quick pain on the removal. Hip to hip scar looks good, nurse removed tape, that was painful too but over quickly, like a loooong bandaid! Since I have a vertical scar, it was a little raw where it connected to the horizontal scar, skin got pulled off with tape so new/clean tape was added there. Gauze was placed over the scar/holes left from the drains. Gotta leave it there at least 24 hours so no shower until I remove it. Still feel tight and sore. Got lesson on cleaning new belly button, because I hadn’t touched anything! Starting Lymphatic Drainage Massage on Thursday, January 10th. Let the healing truly begin. In the photos, I’d rubbed down with cocoa butter as skin is very dry after lipo, sorry for the shine. :-) Swollen for sure but no worries. Got some light skin scrubbing to do, adhesives residue on hips. A little concerned about the darkness on each side, mainly from wearing the compression garments. Hopefully that will lighten up over time. Updated on 12 Jan 2019: Today, pretty much the same over the last week. I’m at 3 weeks post op, still pretty puffy below belly button. My belly button is trying to revert back to an outtie so I’m packing it with gauze and occasionally with a marble, mostly at night. The places where the cannula from the lipo was inserted in my back, at the bra-line, center and 3 lower back, have hardened and are very sore. I am concerned they won’t soften as it looks like it might be scar tissue that quickly formed. I am periodically massaging the lower back 3, it it’s hard to reach the middle upper back. :’( Lymphatic Drainage Massage definitely helped breakup other hard areas. I have 2 more scheduled, once a week. I hope that will be enough. It hurt like crazy but I felt loose afterward. I purchased a King Sized container of Shea Butter from a beauty supply store. Skin is super duper dry and itchy, hence the shiny and yellow tint on bandages in my photo. Overall I’m pleased and trying to be patient with th healing process. Updated on 14 Jan 2019: I weighed about 151 the date of surgery and as of today, January 14, I am down to 143! Considering I’m not exercising, I’ve been eating extremely clean, lean and Green! Yay Me! Updated on 17 Jan 2019: What a month it’s been! I had my 2nd Lymphatic Drainage Massage today. It still almost makes my eyes water but I breathe through it! Feeling pretty good in general, out and about, even did a little dancing tho I was stiff, this week. Lipo is not to be played with as this soreness is REAL. Still packing the BB with a marble. Also, have an area on horizontal incision that is still ‘wet’ right in the middle so I’m now advised to use wet/dry gauze method, wet gauze with saline. Hopefully by my next visit a week from today, at last massage, it will look better. Otherwise, they said my scar looks great for 1 month. Little BB pucker and bandage pucker in profile. Still very swollen as everything via gravity comes to the bottom. They said that would eventually go away. It’s not fluid thank goodness. Updated on 25 Jan 2019: Ok, there are a few things to note. I had my final (3rd) lymphatic drainage massage yesterday. Still have some firmness on each of my sides, still sore but not nearly as bad as it’s been. I’m told to do as much massage as I can, on my own. Additionally, the 4 places they used the cannula are hardened with scar tissue, another area of concern to work on with massage. Remaining hopeful that in time they will disappear. I still have an open wound that is stalling on the healing. Small area but every time a scab starts it sticks to the gauze and pulls off. Hopefully this will close on up soon. Nurse says hip to hip scar looks the best she’s ever seen at 5 weeks, no silicone or anything because of the open wound. I have a silicone strip and she said if I want to use it, just cut around the wound. The belly button, I’m so crazy, I never looked at what was given to me, the Silagen bag, not knowing it contained a sphere and here I am buying marbles! This is so much more comfy. That’s in there 24/7, out for shower and clean and then reapply and seal with tape. Next week, 6 weeks post op, Dr visit. Hoping to get exercise sign off. I’m starting to look and feel like it’s no longer as swollen and that I need to exercise cause it’s looking fluffy. Oh yeah, I’ll bring up that my compression garments don’t feel as snug as they did, might need a size small now. I’m sure it’s better than nothing but I need it to be tight tight again. Updated on 26 Jan 2019: I have a vertical scar because my original belly button was up higher than normal so when skin was stretched, it wasn’t below the cut off line. This created a vertical incision. Right where the vertical and horizontal intersect, some scab got stuck to garment and when it was removed, it pulled off and since day 6, I’ve been trying to heal this wound. It’s finally looking better, never oozed but would attempt a rescab and in the gauze, stick and pull off. This happened every other day! I figured I needed to change gauze more than they suggested and it stopped sticking because the gauze wasn’t drying out. More work but I need this to scab over and heal! Updated on 5 Feb 2019: Today I saw my surgeon. Everything looks great. Swelling still in upper abs (just under boobs) as well as lower abs. I’ve been cleared to start exercising everything except my abs as in no crunches or sit ups or leg lifts. I can do most all cardio, planks and similar exercises along with light arm weights. I started on the elliptical and commit it to everyday, February 1. The plan is to return to my personal trainer on March 10, which puts me at 11 1/2 weeks post op. I won’t be doing ab work until six months which puts me in June. My sides are still a bit sore but nothing like it was before and they are not is hard, from the light pole. The cannula entry points on my back, are softer but still not so I was instructed to do more massaging on those areas and use silicone strips there as well. I also found out in the into room that I am allergic to the silicone strips as far as my hip to hip scar this is pretty inflamed and red Wow it created dark rash spots and shadows so I don’t know if that part will clear up and become even with my skin tone or I may end up having a dark spot even though my scar is pretty much nonexistent. Wow it created dark rash spots and shadows so I don’t know if that part will clear up and become even with my skin tone or I may end up having a dark spot even though my scar is pretty much nonexistent. :-( I’ve been using the silicone spear for my bellybutton and I love the results so I will continue to use it until further notice as there is no soreness or anything going on there. The doctor told me to use the Shea butter that I told her I was using but I’m not sure if there’s anything else I’m gonna be able to do for my scar says I can’t use the silicone besides massaging it. My extra wound that was on the vertical scar is finally starting to heal up so it should blend eventually. It looks like I have to continue massaging the areas that are hard or lumpy until they soften. I’m pleased with how well things look at 6 weeks. There are those that look like this at 2 weeks but hey, we’re all different! Updated on 21 Feb 2019: Feb 5, I had my 6.5 week followup. Attached are my doctors side by side pictures from before TT and after @6.5 weeks and today, a side profile. I don’t understand why my upper ab is distended. I’m still wearing my compression garment 24/7. I have not started working out with my trainer at this point but I have been on my elliptical a few times. Does this mean I need a tighter compression garment or what? This area is still sore. I need answers. I never really had an upper ab problem, even with a distended belly. Gotta do some research. Maybe it’s the food I’m eating. More research! Side note...now I wish I’d had a breast lift! Oh well, too late now... Overall, I’m so glad I did this! Updated on 5 Mar 2019: Feeling pretty good. Planning to workout with my trainer on Sunday, 03.10.19. Excited-scared, LOL, but it’s time to get this party started. I have some swelling at the end of the day in my upper abs so I purchased this waist trainer mainly for workout purposes. I still wear my compression garment daily but with working out, I wanted to be sure that it is extremely firm. My doctor recommended that I go to waisted 360 dot com. I mistakenly ordered a medium though based on my measurements I needed a large but I’m actually able to get in the trainer and I think I’ll be OK. It is very snug so I can’t wear it all day but for an hour of working out it should be definitely sufficient. Hoping by six months that I will see great toning results. Updated on 18 Apr 2019: Well, I have mixed feelings at this point regarding my current shape. My upper abs are not flat. I often wonder if my stomach was moved up because if it’s related to bloating then that’s where it is. My lower abs are flat. I started working out with my trainer March 10, easing into exercise. Still not doing any pure abs exercises, but I do get core work. I also wear a waist trainer more for protection when lifting, etc. I still have numb spots from the liposuction, crinkles on my sides, almost looks bruised but not sure if skin will remain shadow-like. I’m working on my clean eating, I guess now I’ll have to eat super clean, to see if it’s the food or not. I don’t want to post pics, it looks like reverse pregnancy. :’( I go to the doctor May 8 which puts me almost at 5 months. I’ve got 3 weeks to see if I can make a difference and then discuss with my doctor. I’m not giving up hope at this point. It might be my anatomy but I know it can look better than it does now because it did look great earlier when I was supposedly swollen. Fingers crossed that there isn’t some underlying issue. Oh, I still wear my compression garments 24/7. My hip to hip scar looks great but my lipo scars are noticeable. I may have to live with that. Updated on 5 Nov 2019: No photos at this time because I need to work on getting my form together. Overall, I am pleased based on my before pictures but my expectations were much higher to have a flat stomach and I don’t. I’ve had to conclude that I probably won’t based on how I’m built/genetics. With that said, today I had my liposuction scars on my back repaired because the trauma created lots of thick scar tissue at the incision points and they became very dark. I at least want to wear my back out even if I don’t have a flat stomach! Updated on 20 Dec 2019: I must say that I have gotten past my disappointment. I guess everything is simply not for everyone because this did not work for me. It was not a 100% bust because there are things that did work like the liposuction gave me good results and my lower abs gave me good results, my scars are faint, belly button looks great but my upper abs, not sure what happened or did not happen but I know that I have a bulge and it has not gone away with exercise and diet restrictions. I workout with a personal trainer 3 days a week and it may be possible that some of my sutures did not hold when I went back to working out per the doctor‘s orders. I may simply have not been healed enough for the rigorous exercises and crunches that my trainer dishes out. I do know that my muscles were extremely weak before the surgery so I’m kind of thinking that it’s possible that some of those sutures did come apart though she double stitched it in her practice, like a Corset. I have not had my one-year follow-up and it is scheduled in 2 weeks so I will probably come back and update what the doctor suggest but we have had discussions up to this point that it’s possible that I might need to have a revision and I’m not sure what all that entails. This cost a lot of money and to have to pay the anesthesiologist again and trust the surgeon to get it right, to go back through the healing process all over again, may simply not be an option at this point. Because of my age, I had to get clearance from my primary care doctor and then a heart specialist and that means I’d have to go through that process again with no guarantees. I have some extra work to do for myself in terms of weight loss and diet restrictions going forward for a healthier lifestyle regardless of this outcome. It may have some impact but I know that it won’t have the ultimate impact. In talking with my trainer just today, he was like, your core is so strong which is pretty much your back but nothings happening on the front with everything that I’ve been through, except I’m sore! We both expected more/better. So, I’m past the hope of a 6 pack but I know there are things I can do better with my diet and exercise to minimize this and any bloating. Updated on 9 Jan 2020: Spoke with the doctor today and concluded that some of my sutures did rupture in my upper abdomen. She advised that I not do crunches, only planks and the like to strengthen transverse abdominis muscles. I will not be going for any type of revision surgery. I will continue to workout, lose weight and eat clean and hope my results get better than they are today. We took photos today and I will post them when I receive them. I look similar to the last photos I posted.
Excellent. Not only does Dr. McKnight-Baron exudes professionalism, but so does her staff. I am extremely pleased with my results. She was careful to explain everything, including expectations, recovery and the surgery itself. I would easily refer others to see her.
She was very attentive to my concerns and questions. From the consultation to the very end she was there for everything. Her staff is just as amazing as she is. I would recommend anyone considering plastic surgery to go to her.
Where do I start?? From consult to discharge I am beyond satisfied with the professionalism, knowledge and empathy that not only Dr Baron displayed but her office genuinely cared about me 'Charlotte'. Dr. Baron was very direct, yet approachable and willing to answer any question or concerns I had and encouraged me to ask questions. I am BRACA postive with a strong family history of breast and ovarian cancer. I had a bilateral mastectomy and breast Recon with expanders / implants in 2015. I was never happy with my appearance nor comfortable with the feeling of the implants not to mention I had 2 reconstruction with replacement implants that same year. I experience extreme anxiety issues and pre-surgery gitters were at an all time high, but when she peeked her head in the presurgical waiting area I felt the anxieties start to fade away. My surgery was over 12 hours although to me it felt like a long nap. Now as far as my reconstruction results I literally cried when I seen what she and her team had done. I looked down and seen my new soft, warm, pretty breast, they were MINES, no more hiding while getting dressed, wearing padded bras I felt whole, again not to mention my new flatter tummy. I can't explain , I was just so happy ..I am ready to take control of my life, travel, see the world, yep a procedure changed my life ..when I thought I was doomed to settle with what life had dealt me in this as well as in other aspects of my life as well. She made lemonade out of the lemons and that there is a silver lining in ifvyour willibg to find it. I am a walking billboard for her and her work I love her for giving me my confidence and looking forward to living and never settling for what life I am a testimony - Thank you Aisha Baron Mc Knight-- "I'm living my best life"
I went to Dr. Baron for a mommy make over. She was great. Met all my expectations, plus more. Great attitude, very professional, & was respectful to me and my family. She deserves 10 stars. I came all the way from Kentucky for her to do my Surgery & it was well worth it. Love ya Dr. Baron your the greatest!!
I had a breast reduction on October 2017 performed by Dr. Baron. The experience was excellent. My final results far exceed my expectations. Dr. Baron is very personable and her staff is great! From consultation to follow up, the experience was quite pleasant. I would recommend Dr. Baron to anyone seeking a caring and highly skilled plastic surgeon.
Hello and thank you for your question. Lipoma's are fatty tissue growths that are completely benign and treatment generally isn't necessary, but if it is bothersome, painful, or growing rapidly, I do suggest surgical removal. I would advised that you have a Plastic Surgeon or Dermatologist take a second look at it, typically after removal there shouldn't be any indentations.Hopefully this has helped you with your decision.
Thank you for your question, it is not uncommon for fat necrosis to form in the breast with in the first few week post reduction. Fat necrosis is a benign firm lump formed do to damage of fatty tissue and often tenderness can be associated with it.Typically I advise my patients to massage it daily over a couple of months to help it soften or if it becomes to bothersome it can be surgically removed. I suggested you setting up a post op visit with your PS so that he/she can take a look over your concerns.
It is not uncommon for patients to have a allergic reaction to the surgical tape/glue applied to the skin post surgery, pain medications, or even from surgical garments (if you were given one). I advised my patients take a no drowsy antihistamine to help subside the itching and a hydrocortisone cream can be used ,avoid applying it to the incision or any raw areas. Have your surgeon examine the irritated area to provide you with a protocol for treating the skin irritation. Thank for your question
The amount of kybella done per treatment will be determined based off the patient needs. Typically if I have a patient with a decent about of fullness under the chin I like to start with at least 2 vials and have the return with in 6 to 8 weeks to be reevaluated.I suggest asking what protocol the doctor you selected to performing this treatment likes to follow. Thanks for your question.
Currently you are very earlier in your healing stage post BBL and I suggested all of my patients to allow at least 4 to 6 weeks for swelling to settle. It is very common for patients to sometimes experience more swelling on one side verses the other causing an uneven appearance.I suggested that you reach out to your surgeon for post care directions on reducing the swelling .
