Will my Gynecomastia go away at 19 years old?

This is really hard to answer.  Weight gain can contribute to breast tissue development, use of marijuana or some medications.  At the age of 19 I would be prepared for surgery to be the only treatment for this.  An consultation with a PS can help you determine the best treatment options for you.  If you think weight loss could help, than try this first.  

This is typically due to hormonal or weight changes. If there has been no weight gain and the mass has enlarged it should be evaluated by your doctor to insure it isn't something more significant.

Unfortunately without being able to feel your chest tissues it is difficult to render a definite opinion.  If the tissue you feel is glandular and firm and has persisted for over a year it is unlikely to fully resolve on its own and you may need a revision procedure.  If the tissues are softening then I would favor closely monitoring it to see if complete resolution takes place.  Hope this helps. 

Tough to advise based on the information that you are providing. I would need to know more before being more accurate.  However, as you are still changing I would advise you to wait till you are about 22-24 yo to see how things are  then.  Let your body sort things out before you do any surgery.  Hope this helps.

Without photos or an in person exam, hard to say. But generally speaking, if a patient has had gynecomastia symptoms from 15-19 then surgery is usually needed to correct it. You might want to think about scheduling a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to be examined in person and discuss. Always best to know your options.

Typically I tell my patients that gynecomastia which has been stable, and has persisted from puberty until the age of 19, will likely require surgical correction for reduction.  I would definitely recommend seeing a board certified plastic surgeon, as your case does not sound very straight forward in that there is asymmetry.  It may not require any additional work up or diagnostics, but, best to let an expert determine that.  Best of luck! 

The most common form of gynecomastia results from the growth of tissue during puberty and then it persists after a year or two. In most cases it goes away. But in up to 20 percent of guys it doesn't.
As a general rule, it your chest fullness/puffy nipples persists for more than 20 months it is very unlikely to go away on it's one. Diet, exercise and pills will do nothing (I know, this is a bummer). The ONLY treatment is the removal of the tissue and then you remove the issue.

Good advice would necessitate in person evaluation but if you are dealing with pubertal gynecomastia it often resolves within 1 to 3 years after onset.  If persistent, it is often best treated with partial excision of the prominent glandular tissue as well as liposuction surgery of the peripheral chest area. If the prominence of the chest wall is caused by adipose tissue, then liposuction surgery may suffice. I hope this, and the attached link, helps. Best wishes.

More then age thhe duration and the size of the lump are crucial.

Thank you for your question. By your age, the pubertal development would be nearing completion, so it possible that the soft tissue does not increase much, but it may not disappear completely. It is difficult too know. You should see a board certified cosmetic surgeon, who will able discuss the various options with you.
