Had chin/jaw liposuction a few days ago. My surgeon said that I wont look any bigger after the lipo than I did prior to the procedure. This just doesn't make sense to me because doesn't swelling cause a bigger face? Because my chin is definitely looking pretty swollen right now and is definitely bigger than pre-op. So are my jowls & I didn't have jowls before.. I could just be overly cautious but I want to make sure everything is going as it should. Just wanted some other doctors opinions thanks

While liposuction will make some improvement under the chin, the question is whether it will be enough. Liposuction only removes fat from above the muscle. You may also need subplatysmal fat removal to get complete elimination of your genetic double chin.
This sounds like typical throat soreness from the anesthesia used for your surgery, either an endotracheal tube or a laryngeal mask. This has nothing to do with with the liposuction which was performed in front of the voicebox area.
This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. Buccal fat pad gives slimming not symmetry. Masseter botox will make you slimmer and make the jawline more loose. Fillers help give shaping and contouring. If you want perfect or close to perfect symmetry...
