2 weeks is generally too soon to judge the end result of your procedure. It can take months before the final result is evident. I would recommend waiting and seeing how you continue to heal. Your physician knows the details of your procedure and will be able to provide you with advice. I hope this helps, and best of luck to you.
A two weeks almost every patient to has liposuction will have some irregularities due to swelling. I don't know whether ultrasound treatment will do you any good.
I would recommend to wait 6 weeks to 3 months before considering the result as final. Massage can help. Some advocate ultrasound. Kenneth Hughes, MD Los Angeles, CA
Areas of fullness can occur during the healing phase after liposuction. You can massage the area to help soften the area but the healing process will eventually smooth and soften those areas. Reevaluate the area in about 4-6 weeks. Dr. ES
2 weeks is way too early to make a judgement. There is swelling and firmness for a while.A garment , massage and just time will allow this to change and improve. Be patient.
Lumps, hard areas and irregularities are extremely common after submental and neck liposuction in the early phases of healing. It can take up to three months after surgery for the neck skin to settle and smooth out as much as possible. It would be a very good idea for any type of energy therapy (ultrasound or radiofrequency) to be done now to help this process along.
Lumpiness at this time is normal. You can massage the area or take your doctors advise and do the US. Give your chin a minimum of 6 weeks for the lumpiness to disappear. All the best to you. Thomas Narsete, M.D. Austin, Tx
Go and talk to you doctor and not the PS. You paid the doctor and not the PS. This lumpiness may be normal as well as the fold. I use very dilute steroid injections to speed this along. You are quite early in your recovery. Massage and facials also help. I am not a great fan of ultrasound but the application is basically a massage and is fine as long as it is part of the cost you already paid. My Best, Dr C
