Morning Boob over a year a half post-op?

An exam with a plastic surgeon is recommended for diagnosis and treatment options. If the pain is new vs always been there, muscle spasm, scar tissue, implant issue, etc would need to be assessed.

If your breast sits and feels normal, it is unlikely to be capsular contracture.  Is it possible that you may have muscle spasm or something you do during the night that makes this worse?  The position you sleep in etc?

Thanks for your question.  You mentioned that contracture was ruled out but also that your surgeon has retired.  If it has been some time since your last assessment, perhaps it will be possible for a doctor to diagnose an issue that was not apparent before?  Often plastic surgeons will help patients who no longer have access to their original surgeon so perhaps you could seek assistance from another local doctor.

I think that you need to have an exam in person. Perhaps you have some tightness of the muscle from physical activity?

The best place to go from here is to another plastic surgeon!  It's not uncommon to wake up a little stiff for the first few months or even for up to a year or more after breast aug. .....The so called "Morning Boob" after Breast Augmentation.    It often has to do with how tight your muscle is, how tight your capsule is and how big your implants are.  Sometimes the solution is more massage or range of motion and stretching exercises.   Find a new Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in your area.   I always recommend yearly follow ups for all my Breast Augmentation patients, and provide this at no charge just to be sure everything remains as perfect as possible.

I can understand that you have soreness in the breasts after surgery, but I m not sure that I know why you still have this problem.  I would think that a follow up with a qualified Plastic Surgeon should be the direction you need to consider at this time.Good luck to you.Frank Rieger M.D.  Tampa PlStic Surgeon
