From beginning to end the process was wonderful. There does seem to be a slightly longer wait time when you do come for appointments. All the staff was great, always made me feel comfortable and answered any and all questions I had. I really loved the 3D feature they have that can generate pictures of what the end result will look like. Dr helped me choose the right size for my body type and I am completely satisfied with the results. It looks natural and amazing I couldn’t be happier. I also have no scars which is what was really important to me. I would 100% do it over again!
Right breast: 445cc, Left breast: 495cc Silicone, Soft Touch implants. Transaxillary incision. Backstory: I have never felt confident in my body, and have been wanting a boob job since I was 14 years old once I figured out they weren’t getting any bigger. I flew in from Oregon to get this procedure done off of a recommendation from my sister in law, and from then up until now, I’ve heard nothing but great feedback about Dr. Shim Ching from my relatives/extended family about his work. I’ve read a few reviews and have seen women do 5-10 years of research that decide with him and are pleased with their results. After my phone consultation last month, I knew the facility I was going to would take good care of me. I spoke with Kristy, and she was such a delight, answering all of my questions, and was very informative. Although there had been a price change for the new year, she still honored the old price since I was on a recommendation, and out of state. Pre-Op Appointment on 02/08/2022: My first appointment with Asia Pacific Plastic Surgery, I felt very comfortable, which was important and honestly a surprise to me because I am normally an extremely shy person. Everyone I spoke to was very kind and sophisticated. They offered us water during our waiting times. I was able to try on any cc sizing I was interested in, and tried a few larger ones just for kicks. They even had this advanced computer app that showed you what your breasts would look like for the cc’s you’ve chosen, which was such a unique and cool thing to see! They allowed me to take photos and videos throughout the entire try on, and digital process which I’ve attached here. The paperwork portion of the appointment was a bit overwhelming, seeing all of the cautionary warnings of what could go wrong. I had to trust in the process and my nurses, and I know many women have gotten the operation with no complications. I’m very much an over thinker and tend to let my anxiety get to me, so I’ve been praying for everything to go well since I first got in contact with them back in January. It is also a time where Covid-19 is still present, which means extra paperwork and questions. Also had to get a covid test done 2 days prior to my operation to be cleared for my surgery. Throughout the paperwork, emails, and phone calls from the pre-op to the surgery day, I was asked a lot of the same questions and sometimes was told slightly different things from different people but just to ensure proper recovery, I went with the more extreme instructions. Surgery day: The day of my appointment everything felt like it happened so fast. This was my first ever surgery, and as stated before, I suffer from a lot of anxiety, so of course I was extremely nervous. I had like 6 nurses tending to me and making me feel more comfortable during the process, but it still felt like it was happening very quickly. Dr. Liu was the absolute sweetest, and made sure that I was taken care of. She has this friendly and charming demeanor that makes you feel like you can tell her anything. Going under anesthesia was crazy, because one moment she’s above me, easing me in to the anesthesia by telling me to inhale deeply and think of a happy place, and all of a sudden I’m out like a light. When I awoke next I was in my bed in the same spot I was before heading to the operating room. My body was sore from my armpits, to across my chest, my eyes were still adjusting to the light, eye lids fluttering open and close, and my teeth were shaking like crazy. They assured me that was normal, and then gave me one oxy pill, which helped immensely. Then I hear them get a phone call and say “oh, he’s here already!”, so I was helped into a wheel chair and taken out to the curbside drop off/pick up to meet my lovely fiancé. I felt like I was only awake for 5 minutes before I exited the building, but I’m sure I was up for like an hour before leaving. The anesthesia and Oxycodone were pretty strong, I felt dazed and relaxed for a couple of hours after the surgery. My hunni got me some poké cause he knew I hadn’t eaten since 8:30 the night before (my surgery was @ 2pm the following day.) and like a toddler he fed me by hand, giving me small bites every 5-10 minutes with sips of water. Shortly after getting back to our hotel, I was feeling extremely drowsy and almost dozed off but fought my sleep slightly and stayed awake for the day. My breasts were hard as rocks, and I felt numb from my pits to my nips, however my right nipple still had some feeling in it that eventually went away that night. My left incision (which was where the bigger implant was) began stinging and burning. I tend to sweat a lot as well so I tried airing them out by fanning with a notecard from the hotel and standing in front of the AC. My underarms were sticky from what I assume was the tape they put on. I was able to urinate smoothly, but needed my fiancés help pulling down my pants. Felt slight nausea before I climbed into bed. I took my necessary meds for the night, and propped pillows behind my back to ensure I slept at a 45 degree angle and both sides of my elbows as to give the incisions some air flow throughout the night. I suffer from insomnia and was also trying to stay awake till my next dose, so I didn’t go to sleep until around 2am. I usually wake up 2-4 times a night but I was able to sleep through till 7:30am, which was a wonderful change. Day 2: I woke up in discomfort, my chest and muscles felt tight and my left incision was still burning. I took my Sinecch and one Acetaminophen, and walked around the room a bit. My teeth began chattering slightly, an hour after I woke up. I got a call from their office asking questions on how I was doing, reviewing their workers and asking about my symptoms. They weren’t concerned about the burning or stinging I felt in my incision since it wasn’t producing any drainage, and they weren’t worried about the chattering either. They said if my symptoms changed into a fever or I began seeing redness/puss then to call them. Me being the worry wart that I am, googled my symptoms and read from others that they felt chills up and down their body from their BA up to a month later, and a few said it goes away eventually. I sat in bed for the next few hours, walking around occasionally. At this point I desperately wanted to shower but Dr. Shim said not to for the first 24 hours. I took my Cephalexin at 10am, and began feeling discomfort around 11:30, so at 12 I took 2 of my Ace. pills. Then I had my first real meal since two days ago: Grilled Salmon and Spinach salad, with some fried rice on the side. As soon as I finished my plate, I began feeling dizzy and drowsy, and went to the bed to lie down. The pain and discomfort were gone. Took a 3 hour nap and felt much better. My left incision still causing me pain but not gonna worry until there’s an issue. Updated on 19 Feb 2022: This morning I woke up at 5:30am which was exactly when I needed to take my medication. Because I awoke at the perfect hour, I was not feeling too much pain quite yet, which was a really nice change from yesterday. I went back to sleep at around 7-8, and woke up at 11:45, took more medication and relaxed in my room. My implants didn’t seem as high on my chest as they were before, but they’re still pretty numb around the sides and the nipples. Occasionally left the hotel room to walk around and get my blood flowing, but nothing too strenuous. I’ve noticed when I’m not keeping up on my meds to the exact hour of when I’m supposed to take them, my chest feels a lot more tight and my left incision begins to sting again. I kept taking photos of my incisions just to ensure there was no negative change. CBD has helped immensely with the aches and inflammation throughout this recovery! Highly recommend taking around 10-20mg every 4-6 hours or as needed! Tomorrow morning I’ll run out of my Acetaminophen, which I’m honestly quite nervous about since that seems to be what’s been helping my pain the most :( I emailed Erin at around 2pm to see if I could possibly get a prescription refill, but she never got back to me, and I realized later that tomorrow the weekend begins, so the office will be closed, and on top of that, Monday is a holiday, so they won’t be open for 3 days straight! Praying that the pain will be tolerable until my next appointment > Updated on 20 Feb 2022: Last night at 12, I took 1 acetaminophen pill, woke up at 4:30am to take a gummy that was 25mg CBD, and 5mg CBN, then at 10:45am took my Sinecch, a tad bit more CBD, and Docusate (stool softener). I didn’t have too much pain when I woke up, I’d rate it like a 4. I have not had a bowel movement since before my operation, and I don’t normally have to go to the bathroom often (usually around 3-5 days) but as embarrassed I am to say this, I’ve been experiencing some inflammation in my lower region which hasn’t been super painful, just abnormal. I’ve also had a LOT of bloating in my lower abdomen, and when I poke at the sides, it’s sore to the touch but no physical bruising to the eye. I look like a rectangle; my curves are absolutely GONE! Lol. I read that was normal, and some women don’t have a bm for 10 days after surgery. I’ve taken a total of 5 Docusate pills (making sure only 2 max per day), and 2 (1 max per day) of my stronger laxatives they prescribed but that’s just making me pass light gas, and not making me go to the bathroom. I’ve been trying to lean off of my meds cause I heard that causes constipation too. I decided not to worry about it until day 6, which is Monday, and their office opens again on Tuesday. I was trying my best not to take any Ace pills because I only had 4 left, but at 11:45 this afternoon, my right breast began to feel excruciating pain. It was like a mini heart attack, only on the opposite side: like there was a shock wave and someone was squeezing a part of the implant or something under the muscle, for like 15 minutes, and i began feeling very tight in that area. I had this once yesterday around the same time, but it went away after taking my medication. This time it didn’t stop till 12:30 and brought on a few tears. Now I have 3 left. I’ve had some shoulder and upper back pain since day 1, and my fiancé has been massaging those areas until it feels like my body’s not in knots anymore. Today my back aches were pretty bad, near the spine and shoulder blades area. I honestly don’t know what I’d do without him. He’s been taking care of me so well, feeding, showering, dressing me, braiding my hair, just everything I’ve needed he’s been willingly doing, and scolds me when I try to do it myself. Bless his heart <3 it’s made this experience so much better; I’m very very grateful. The rest of the day went far better than the morning: took a 4:1 edible @ 2pm (20mg CBD, 5mg THC) and that really calmed my anxiety down and lessened my pain. Walked around and ate some Chinese food, then passed out at like 5pm. Woke up at 8pm, took my afternoon Sinecch, and 10mg CBD. Pain was still pretty subsided, with the occasional stinging and burning in my left pit from movement. I haven’t been opening either of my arms out very much just to avoid that. Still feeling tight, but i think it’s getting a little softer on the top? Showering is amazing. Cleaning my incisions with the antibacterial soap is so refreshing; I really hate not being able to shave or wear deodorant for this long, (due to me sweating more than the average person) so it’s so nice to bathe. Right now is 4am (my sleeping schedule is fucked) and I just took 12.5mg of CBD, and 2.5mg of CBN. Had double that amount at 1:30am, to make sure I don’t wake up writhing in pain since I’m holding off on the medication. Currently laying down in bed, propped up with all my pillows, and I’m starting to get that burning shock sensation in my left breast near my nipples that I’ve heard people talk about. It’s pretty light, and doesn’t bother me- especially after what I experienced this morning. Phew. Most of my breasts are still numb near that area, the sides, and where my incisions are in my armpits. I’m doing a lot better than I thought I would be today. Hope tomorrow goes well too: Finally venturing out a bit further and meeting up with some family. We’ll see how I do :) Updated on 21 Feb 2022: Overall I think I’m feeling much better! No pain pills were taken, just CBD every 2-6 hours. Occasional tightness and stinging/burning sensations from left incision to side / top of breast next to nipple area, and my upper back was still aching but other than that I believe things have been going alright! I’ve been coughing up a bit of mucus about 2-3 times a day, which I read can be common after surgery. Sleeping schedule is still messed up and keep taking 2-3 hour naps and falling asleep at 4am. I’ve also been sleeping without a shirt and blasting the AC to prevent from sweating but hope that’s not causing anymore firmness for the implants. I try to keep the sheet over them but I always wake up without a cover and they tend to be pretty cold , so I’m gonna drape an ‘ie around my neck for slight warming. I’m just waiting for these babies to get lower cause damn they’re still pretty high up lol. I’ve attached photos of their current state.
Amazing staff, nurses and of course Dr. Shim Ching is the best! They explain everything in great detail and is very organized from consult, pre op info, surgery day and post op care. Dr. Liu their MD Anesthesiologist is caring, kind and explains everything that will be going on during your surgery. Dr. Shim Ching and his team are the ONLY choice if you want the best results and care.
12k for lipo and I barely see a difference. He's nice but I'm not paying 12k for someone to be nice to me. Probably better to go to Miami or DR. Such a disappointment. He claimed it was due to internal fat but I live a healthy lifestyle and workout 5x a week. Women ik that have gone other places look 10x better and don't do half of what I do. Updated on 18 May 2021: I initially wasn't happy with my results but have been offered another procedure which requires no down time and will help me achieve what I am going for. The customer service from the team is good and I'm excited to see how the results turn out.
Dr. Ching is the absolute best! I am so grateful I found someone so skillful and trustworthy to handle any concerns that I have. In the past, I’ve gone to numerous consultations looking for a plastic surgeon I could trust, and when I met Dr. Ching and his staff, I knew I found someone with superior quality and professionalism. Over the course of ten years, I’ve had a variety of procedures done, including breast augmentation and rhinoplasty. Dr. Ching has a refined skill that makes patients look better, younger, and natural. He has an eye to deliver the results that you request, whether you want a dramatic change or a natural subtle change. He doesn’t settle for “adequate”, he strives for perfection and it shows in the numerous trainings he attends with the newest state-of-the-art techniques. Also, because I live out of state, he understands that for someone traveling from another state the process could be more intricate than a local patient. He was always available to answer my many, many emails and concerns before and after my procedures. Dr. Ching truly provides the highest level of care and shows his patients that they are unique and each procedure is customized to give the very best outcome. His work is impeccable, and I feel and look amazing since my procedures. When explaining the procedure, he and his staff were very detailed, professional, patient, and knowledgeable. I’ve also have received non-invasive surgery procedures at his clinic such as Picosure, Ultherapy, Hydrafacials, and Botox. Each member of his staff provides optimal customer service and skill with an expert level of detail. They make you feel at home and deliver amazing results. Dr. Ching and his staff are extremely skilled and kind. They take care of you as if you are a family member. Thank you so much Dr. Ching, Keri, Dr. Liu, Erin, Awa, and the rest of the Asia Pacific Staff:)
Hi all! Tomorrow I am getting ~300 cc Inspira soft-touch implants. My surgeon and I decided on sub muscular via the transauxilliary method. I am nervous about the recovery process and plan to use this forum as a reminder to stay patient as they drop and fluff! Updated on 2 Feb 2021: Feeling good! Very little pain just stiff. Implants are definitely “high and tight.” Updated on 6 Feb 2021: Starting to look great! They get softer everyday but still feel like rocks on my chest. Updated on 16 Feb 2021: Definitely get “boob greed” but I think the size is perfect for me and they look much bigger in a padded bra or bikini. Updated on 10 May 2021: I LOVE them! They are the perfect size - very subtle and small but still fun. They have softened and dropped a lot but still a little firm on the sides. Updated on 15 Jun 2021: I am thinking this is very close to the final look.
A freak accident left me with a gash in the middle of my face. I went to the ER and had to get 5 stitches put in, but I was worried the result would be less than ideal, and that I’d be left with a pretty awful scar. Lucky for me I was able to get in to see Dr. Shim Ching. Talk about LITERALLY SAVING FACE. Dr. Shim Ching removed the ER’s 5 stitches and put in 15 small tight stitches to help ease scarring and make for a better overall end result. My family have commented on what a huge improvement it is, and I feel much more confident that my face will heal with very minimal scarring! From start to finish, my experience at Asia Pacific Plastic Surgery could not have been better. The office was clean and beautiful and everyone wore masks & took safety precautions in accordance with Covid-19. The staff were warm, funny, generous & accommodating. Tera, CST was super nice and got me all set up for the procedure and made me feel really comfortable. Erin, OR Nurse, was amazing & really went above and beyond organizing everything and taking care of me throughout the process. Dr. Shim Ching was attentive, thorough, kind and exceeded my expectations. Everyone really went the extra mile & I truly feel blessed to have gone to them when I did! Thank you Asia Pacific Plastic Surgery for putting this Mama back together! I will forever be grateful!!!
May I first start off by saying how happy I am with the decision that I made by choosing Dr. Shim Ching! I’m currently three weeks post-op of my Breast Augmentation procedure and I’m so in love with the results! For starters, I’ve only dreamt of having the actual opportunity of having my breasts cosmetically done. I didn’t think the day would ever come that I’d actually commit. I’ve always idolized women who are so confident in their body... and I wanted that so badly. It wasn’t until a good friend of mine shared her experience about Dr. Ching, that I grew so much more interest. She genuinely spoke about how great the entire process was and how she felt so reassured about her decision. To me, that matters so much! I knew I wanted to see the best of the best but not only that, to have an entire staff that takes care of you from start to finish. THAT is just amazing. I love watching Dr. Ching’s daily IG stories which actually sparked my first convo! I simply inquired and was responded to almost immediately! Within the same day, I was contacted by their Patient Coordinator, Keri. She is wonderful! I instantly built a connection with her and even though I was so nervous at my consult, she kept me at ease. I never expected to feel that comfortable and not once did I feel pressured to make any final decisions. Keri gave me some time to figure things out and confirm if I wanted to pursue. It was such an unexplainable feeling. I couldn’t believe this opportunity was at my finger tips! All of the fear I had faded away. I knew that I was doing this for me and if I was going to do it, it was definitely with Dr. Shim Ching & his team. After two months of preparation, I couldn’t have been more ready! ALL of Dr. Ching’s staff plays such a huge role. From his beautiful front desk girls to his nurses, they all acknowledged me and made me feel valued. Special thank you’s to Lesliefay, Keri & Erin who all took care of me on my office visits. They made sure I had every question answered and an entire manual on pre and post care! Last but not least, surgery day was so smooth! I arrived at 7am at the surgery center suite and was greeted by my nurse, Brittney. She was the BEST! She made me feel SO comfortable from the moment I walked in, I wasn’t even nervous when it was time to get started. This process is important because no one wants to feel worried & unsure on surgery day. But let me say, I was more reassured than anything! I knew I was ready. Shortly after, I met a few other amazing ladies. The anesthesiologist named Dr. Grace Liu was an absolute angel! She built an instant connection with me and we even shared a few laughs together. Even for such a short amount of time (being awake) with her, I felt so safe being left in her hands. I loved the fact that I knew most of their faces and names in the OR, thanks to social media! It felt like I actually knew these familiar faces. Which lead me to the decision of having my procedure recorded. I had the chance to meet their IG girl, Brianna and was able to share with her how much I appreciated watching the Breast Aug stories she posts daily! The more I watched them everyday, the more I grew ready. At last, it was time to do my final consult on size & results with Dr. Ching. I could see why his team is so amazing! His professionalism is unmatched for sure. Dr. Ching sat down with me and listened to any questions or concerns that I had before moving forward. He ensured that my happiness comes first First week of recovery was tough but if you have the support system, you’ll get through it! Whenever I had a question or concern, their office used a platform named Klara, to communicate with a nurse during open hours. A little peace of mind during the healing period! Overall, I couldn’t be any happier with my decision and I’m so thankful for Dr. Shim Ching and his team for taking such great care of me! 10/10, best of the best!!!
The staff at the desk were really helpful and and polite. I was seen by nurse Stacy and she was very thorough and precise on what was gonna be done but of course she asked me first what were my concerns, then she gave me her advice. She was very pleasant, and made me feel comfortable through the whole procedure. I am very pleased with her work on botox, especially for my jaw muscles because I clench so much. I definitely will be back for some fillers so that I can look and feel my best. Thank you Stacy, and thank you Dr. Ching and all staff for your services.
I needed reconstruction surgery quick! Dr Ching saw me right away, even when I live on another island! He help me and was very kind and understanding. Now, I need a bit of revision 6 months later and his concern and willingness to help is amazing! I am so thankful! Dr. Ching understands that a a woman’s body is her temple
Fat grafting would be the best and most natural option for you. You seem quite slim and may need to gain weight for the procedure. A surgeon could consider submuscular and intramuscular fat grafting, as well as fat grafting to the breast as well to give you the best symmetry and result. Please seek and experienced, board certified plastic surgeon for your surgery.
Thanks for your question. You really should have implants over the muscle. Animation deformity, or movement of the muscle while flexing your pectoral muscles, is the main issue that women who have your hobby would want to avoid. I believe the subfascial position is best. A surgeon could go through your current breast lift scars. A firmer implant such as the Natrelle Cohesive implants would be a good choice as they ripple less and there is an increased risk for rippling when implants are over the muscle.
In my opinion, a transaxillary endoscopic approach is best. There would be no scar on your breasts. The placement of the implant would be subfascial to adequately release your inframammary fold. I find that implants placed underneath the muscle in your situation have a high risk of double bubble. Please seek an experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon.
Thanks for your question. The recommended surgery would really depend on your goals. The procedures available to feminize the lower face include mandibular contouring, where the width of the jaw can be narrowed and a strong angle of the jaw can be removed. The chin can be shortened and narrowed with bone contouring as well. Please seek an experienced board certified plastic surgeon for a consultation.
Sorry to hear of your problems. Animation deformity can occur after submuscular breast augmentation. It is possible that the muscle was not completely released or regenerated after division. The best way to resolve your issue would be to replace the implants over the muscle, if possible in your case. Please seek an experienced board certified plastic surgeon who is familiar with implant revisions.
