i had my surgery about a year ago and it was noticeable immediately that one side was drastically different looking.. my right side flappes down now and looks worse than ever. also my right chest muscle doesnt seem to be getting larger with exercise like the left side. When the right side was sewn up after surgery it was sewn uneven and my skin has folded ever since. my right pectoral muscle also is still sore on the lower inside corner. i am worried that there was muscle damage

No. It is not common to need revision surgery following gynecomastia. But having said that, there is always the exception. The best way to avoid being an exception is to see a really qualified and experienced surgeon such as a board certified plastic surgeon with a lot of gynecomastia experience...
Schedule an appointment to see your surgeon to have him examine you in person. If you need need a revision, it is generally smart to wait until at least 6 months most op. Best of luck.
