I took a video of myself for school and was horrified to see how crooked my nose looked. What caused this crooked nose/different size nostrils problem? how can I fix it? Do you think plastic surgery is necessary? is it really as bad as it looked in my video? I don't see it in the mirror, so why does it look so different on video? I've been observing closely and It seems the left side is bigger than the right. I like the right side (my right) better. Why is the left side so bad in comparison?

Hello and thank you for your question. It is very normal to be swollen at 5 months postoperative. The dorsal aspect of the bridge of the nose will usually decrease earlier than the nasal tip swelling. Nasal tip swelling can sometimes take 6-12 months to fully resolve. I advise patients...
At 7 weeks your nose will go through many changes. The redness of the dorsum may be related to skin reaction were the hump was, but it is always safer to see you surgeon.
Your expectations are realistic and you definitely can have it on a single rhinoplasty surgery. Revisions for rhinoplasty or for any other surgery might always be possible.Ask your surgeon the ratio of revisions and you will see that statistically it is not more than %1-2
