Nervous before Rhinoplasty. Any suggestions?

I'm so nervous before my rhinoplasty - is this normal? I keep thinking 'what if it goes wrong?' 'what if I hate it' I had breast aug 3 years ago and I had no anxiety prior to the op just was a little sleepless the night before!

You may use Valium or Xanax but it would be better consulting your doctor about your anxiety.On the other hand you my personally check your doctors surgery results and motivate yourself as you are going to have a good result after a short time.Good luck

It is very common to have anxiety before surgical procedures.  However is anxiety becomes an issue you need to consult your family physician and also you surgeon to find a solution. They might prescribe you some anti-anxiety medication to get through this procedureRegardsDr. J

Hi, I have performed and taught Rhinoplasty for 30 years.  If this were your first aesthetic surgery, I say it was just nerves and quite normal but since you didn't feel that way about your Breast Augmentation, something seems different this time with your Rhinoplasty.  Do you need a second opinion to review the aesthetic plan for your Rhinoplasty?  Do you have second thoughts about having a Rhinoplasty in general or is something specific about where and how you're having it that bothers you.  IMHO, you should look internally to identify the source of your anxiety.  Hope this helps.
