Extreme bruises from Breast Augmentation, is this a hematoma? (photos)

Hello,Thank you for your question and photos. I'm sorry to hear about your concerns. Bruising can be expected post- BA and will typically begin to surface within a few days of surgery. Gravity tends to pull bruises to lower areas. In order to rule out a hematoma, It would be a good idea to be seen in person. Your Plastic Surgeon should be able to recommend someone qualified to see you and have a plan for your follow up care.All the best  

Thank you for your question and photos. Based on your photos provided, there is obvious signs of bruising. This is normal after surgery. If severe bruising continues to worse I would advise you to follow up with your surgeon, he or she will rule out a hematoma after an examination of that is what you have.

As long as the affected area feels soft, it may just be bruising. It is important however, that you should communicate with your surgeon and be examined. Best.

Hi and thanks for the question and photos. This is a relatively concerning amount of bruising after surgery and you are right to question hematoma. Are your breasts continue to enlarge? Is one larger than the other. Is your pain getting worse. Make sure that you discuss this with your ps and make arrangements to be seen in person possibly by a local ps if you are not able to get back to yours quickly. Best of Luck - Dr. Hardy...
