Can nightly use of nasal dilators increase nostril size?

Hello, I had alar reduction in my primary rhinoplasty two years ago and unfortunately I don’t like how small my nostrils are right now.. so I have two questions. 1. Can using Nostril dilators every night can increase the large of my nostrils by stretching the skin? By gradually expansion or something like that.? 2. Is it possible to reverse alar reduction with another surgery? Adding grafts or whatever it takes to get my normal nostrils back? If yes what scars will be left by this? Thank you!

Hello! Thank you for your question.1. Using nasal dilators cannot increase the large of your nostrils.2. I recommend you a revision rhinoplasty, where we can use external grafts to reshape the nostrils and make a new alar base. The scar will be done on the same place as your previous surgery. With a revision rhinoplasty surgery you can change your nostrils shape.

Dilators help but in a very limited manner. Composite graft may help to dilate the small nostril. The graft is placed on the nostril floor so the incision would be placed on the floor of the nose. For detailed surgical plans, in person consultation is a must. Thanks.
