Sleeping position after breast lift, tummy tuck and BBL?

After these procedures in my practice you would be permitted to position yourself anyway that is comfortable. However, your own surgeon should be involved in this particular issue.Generally, laying on the side with the knees flexed is permitted as well as a flexed position while recumbent with no pressure on the area grafted during the gluteal augmentation.

Thank you for your question.  Following a BBL and tummy tuck, I prefer my patients to lay on either side, with their hips slightly flexed (similar to the fetal position). Thank you for your excellent question.  Though your surgeon will be the best resource based on the details of the anticipated procedures, you will likely need to sleep and rest on either your left or right side, typically in a fetal-like position.  Many patients find the use of a body pillow helpful during this time to prevent significant changes of position while sleeping. When combining these particular procedures sleeping positions are a concern since you've had surgery both on your back and front. You will need to sleep on your side with support from pillows. Your surgeon will go over more about recovery at your consultation.

I would advise these be split into 2 different surgeries based at a minimum of 3 months apart. Tummy Tucks generally take several weeks of recovery and you will for sure not want to be laying on it while sleeping. That being said, a BBL requires several weeks without putting any unneeded weight on your butt so you would need to be sleeping on your side or stomach. It really is too much to have going on at the same time. I would make sure and check with a board certified plastic surgeon for the best treatment plan.

 You may think that you would do well after all those procedures but I respectfully disagree  when I do  a tummy tuck and a BBL I do them on separate days usually separated by about three months  I feel that it is much better to do moderate procedures than  one very large and uncomfortable one.  Also the fat cells are very fragile for the first three months. Even sleeping on your side I believe will compromise your result  I would definitely talk to more than one board certified plastic surgeon who has considerable experience in these procedures
