I'm going for a TT and BL and a reduction (to help with fullness). I'm recently seeing things about auto augmentation. Some PSs seem to charge extra for this. I'm wondering if I could be a candidate and if it's worth the extra cost. I know upper pole fullness is best achieved with an implant, bit I'm looking for alternatives. If it at all matters I was a perky C before having and nursing 3 kids. With the last baby I went up to a J (not a typo!!) And now a DDD.

Answer: Breast options Thanks for your inquiry. Using your own breast tissue in the lift pattern can enhance the upper pole, but the volume often settles. You could proceed without an implant and always add an implant or fat grafting in the future to augment the upper pole.

Answer: Auto augmentation You need a breast lift with tissue reduction. The tissues initially will look fuller, but gravity usually wins out and the upper breast fullness decreases with time. You may eventually want a small implant to give fullness to the upper portion of the breast, but I ask my patients to wait a few months before doing this to allow the swelling to go down so that we can evaluate the true shape of the breast. Not all patients elect to have an implant after living with their better sized and shaped breast.Be sure to get a couple of opinions from board certified plastic surgeons.
