I had a very obviously deviated septum and trouble breathing through my nose. After shaving turninates and clearing some scar tissue, breathing is great. The deviated septum at the bottom went right back however, and when I put on Vaseline or have a booger, it’s still so deviated that the two sides stick together and bug me. My surgeon said she can do local anesthesia (or put me under again) to fix it once I hit 6 months post-op. He says the nose will be held together and strong enough by then to lift the skin up on that side and cut the cartilage down and sew me back up. Just want a second opinion that there isn’t risk to losing the tip or structure of my new nose if we shave this little bottom part. It doesn’t seem that the protrusion goes very far and that it’s just the foot that stick out.
