How many units of Botox will slim my jaw?

Hi Amanda. Your question can not be appropriately answered without first examining you and evaluating the strength of your jaw and temple muscles. In general, jaw slimming and TMJ requires an average of 20-25 units of Botox to the masseter muscles and 10-15 units to the temples. However, depending on the strength of your muscles more may be needed. Often, it may take a couple of sessions to determine the suitable dose for you. This is an advanced injection technique so make sure you are under the care of an experienced physician injector to minimize complications. Best wishes.

Hello and thank you for your question.  The
best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation.  If you have hypertrophy of your masseter muscles, then botox can be used to slim the muscle.  I usually use 15-30U per side for this.   Make sure you specifically look
at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery
performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.   The most
important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend
that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who
can evaluate you in person.
