Ultherapy and Halo are 2 completely different treatments and should not be compared with each other. Ultherapy is and ultrasound treatment for tightening, and lifting loose skin. Halo is a laser that's best for pigmentation and texture issues of the skin. Often they are used in combination with each other for best results. Keep in mind, most people over the age of 50 will need to do Ultherapy more than once to get noticeable improvement. In addition to Ultherapy, we offer some better treatments at our practice for the jowls and neck skin laxity. Make sure you see an experienced physician provider for an in-person consultation and evaluation to determine which treatments would be most appropriate for you. Best wishes.
Deciding between a facelift and nonsurgical treatments such as Ultherapy depends on how much sagging there is and the condition of your skin. Ultherapy will help but does not do what a facelift does, and Halo is more for improving the condition of the skin than for lifting and tightening.
Hi Kimberly,Each patient needs to be evaluated on an individual basis to determine what their best treatment would be to non-surgically lift sagging neck and facial skin. Both Ultherapy and Profound are excellent treatments for skin tightening/lifting. Halo is an excellent laser type treatment for skin color, texture, and moderate wrinkles. Most importantly, take the time to choose your treating aesthetic physician carefully. Good luck and be well.Dr. P
Ultherapy is a great device for skin tightening, but keep in mind, a combination approach would give the most improvement with Ultherapy. I recommend Ultherapy with RF treatments, lasers, microneedling/PRP, J Plasma, nova threads or sculptra to get increased collagen, tightening and improve skin tone. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Hi and thank you for your question! An in person consultation is needed to give you the best assessment and treatment plan. That said, Ultherapy is one of the best, non-surgical skin tightening devices on the market! We recommend one treatment every 1-2 years. However, It is not a replacement for surgery so we would assess you to see what method would most effectively achieve your goals. Feel free to come in for a complementary consultation. We could do both a surgical and non-surgical consult in the same day and review all of our options! Best,Dr. Grant Stevens
Thank you for your question! As there are many different rejuvenation procedures available, both surgical and non-surgical for sagging skin, I highly recommend evaluating your options in-person with a board certified plastic surgeon. Ultherapy is a nonsurgical ultrasound treatment that stimulates your own natural collagen production in 30 – 90 minute sessions. It can help repair mild-to-moderate skin looseness and is often used in combination with other treatments, such as laser skin resurfacing, wrinkle relaxers, or injectable fillers. A Halo laser treatment will help with the improvement of sun damage and pigmentation.
Thank you for your question. Generally speaking, Ultherapy is a better option than Halo for tightening of sagging neck and jowls. Halo is a fantastic option for evening out the skin's tone and texture. Ultherapy is great for tightening areas that start to sag as we lose collagen and volume (i.e. neck and jowls). Depending on how much sagging is present, there may be better options for you, but ultherapy is a good place to start. I recommend that you see a provider for a consultation to get an accurate assessment and recommendation. Best of luck to you!
