As long as the provider is a certified Ultherapist, you are in good hands. Whether a Med Spa or a Doctor's office, the practitioner must be certified in order to perform this treatment. Also, beware of "counterfeit" Ultherapy machines. There is only one FDA approved ultra-sound machine, and that's Ultherapy! Good luck.
There is one Ultherapy machine on the market. So whether you go to a doctor's office or a med spa, the device should be the same. Just make sure that wherever you go is a reputable establishment.
There are knock-off Ultherapy devices out there and usually med spas that offer prices that are too good to be true are using them. The Ultherapy device is just a tool which can produce different results in different hands. It is important that you get your treatment by an experienced physician provider who knows how to use the device properly. I perform all Ultherapy procedures myself using a virtually pain free technique. Not everyone is a candidate for the treatment. You will need a full consultation and evaluation to determine if the procedure is right for you. Best wishes.
I recommend seeing a board-certified doctor for ultherapy. Keep in mind, a combination approach would give the most improvement with Ultherapy. I recommend Ultherapy with RF treatments, lasers, microneedling/PRP, J Plasma, nova threads or sculptra to get increased collagen, tightening and improve skin tone. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for your question. There is only one Ultherapy device, but there are other devices that some places may advertise as Ultherapy or similar. Just make sure your provider is certified and reputable and you are comfortable with them. At a med spa, there are often technicians that perform the procedures vs. a medical doctor in physician's office. It is up to you to decide who you are more comfortable with performing your procedure. Best of luck to you.
Ultherapy is non-invasive procedure that is FDA approved to lift skin on the neck, under the chin, improve the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles, and on the eyebrow.Ultherapy uses ultrasound energy in order to tighten your skin. Whether you are getting Ultherapy done at a doctors office, hospital, or medical spa just make sure its under a M.D. or D.O. supervision, and the machine being used is an official ultherapy machine. It is possible that a provider is advertising ultrasound but its not ultherapy. For instance, radio frequency (RF) provides a similar results. At our office we have Ultherapy and Lumenis RF. Our RF requires about 6-12 treatments to have comparable results to one treatment of ultherapy. Always consult a physician and/or licensed aesthetician for a consultation prior to beginning a treatment.
Ultherapy has amazing results. However, unlike some other non-invasive procedures, this one involves skill and experience. I believe this is why there are not as many positive reviews for Ultherapy on this site. During treatment, the tissue is visualized with ultrasound. The treatment lines are placed precisely. Experience and expertise in ultrasound are very important to both safety and results. I am an Ob-Gyn. I went to a physician's office to have Ultherapy personally. During that treatment, I realized that I had more ultrasound experience than the person performing the procedure. She did a wonderful job, and I got great results. However, I realized this procedure was a natural fit for an office that does so much ultrasound! This is how an Ob-Gyn started doing Ultherapy. It is extraordinarily popular in our office. Our patients trust us to ultrasound their babies during pregnancy, and they trust us to also ultrasound and treat them aesthetically. In short, an experienced RN at a medi-spa can do a great job if she is experienced. An MD can do a terrible job if they are not experienced. Seek reputation and results. Good Luck!
The nice thing about nonsurgical aesthetic medical procedures is that you can try new thing and they wear off, or you can start with a little bit and more on to more-all on your own timing!
Ultherapy is not indicated for acne scars, HOWEVER if you do have distensable scars, and if you are a good candidate clinically, it can be used in conjunction with acne scar methods, including lasers, RF, needling, Peels, subcsion and others. An assessment by a Specialist is critical to get good...
Thank you for your question. It is not uncommon to experience this, especially on day 2. This is normal and is a sign that the collagen production has started. Keep in mind that the full results will show over time so having before / after photos will help you better keep track. We typically...
