I had laser lipo suction on my chin and neck earlier this year. Now I have developed banding that are tight, prominent and sore when I tilt my head backwards. Very uncomfortable. It has been a few months. I am afraid I've been botched and I need help knowing what treatments I need to undergo to minimize this banding and help it go away. The doctor that did this treatment said injectables may be a treatment, but he doesn't know for sure and to do my own research. Need referrals! Thank you.
Answer: Treatment of neck bands after liposuction This is very frequent problem when neck liposuction only is done; removal of superficial fat exposes underlying muscle bands. For the time being you should try Botox to treat and soften platysma muscle bands and possibly reduce scarring. Depending of the outcome of Botox treatment, you may consider neck lift to treat underlying muscle bands, definitely not sooner than 1 year after liposuction. In person consultation with an experience board certified plastic surgeon with excellent reputation in face/neck lift is recommended. Good luck.

Answer: Neck Lift Hi Honest578025 CoolSculpting is a non-surgical option to reduce fat in the neck. It is a great alternative to liposuction if a patient doesn’t require any other surgical procedures such as neck lift and platysmaplasty. Answer: Getting improvement to the neck after liposuction At this point, you might consider injections of a neuromodulator like Botox into these lines on the neck. These treatments affect the platysma muscle, smoothing out the lines in the process. If this does not produce the results you want, or you continue to experience the side effects you have now, I recommend a consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon. It is possible you may need a surgical neck lift to achieve the best possible outcome.

Answer: Overly defatting the neck causes muscle bands to worsen Many doctors are overly defatting the neck with Ultherapy, liposuction, Kybella, laser liposuction and radiofrequency in an effort to make the submental area look better and 'tighten' skin. Not a week goes by without me seeing a patient who has had their neck and/or face overly defatted. In my opinion, none of these treatments effectively tightens the skin, tightens the muscle and removes extra fat. So what is the solution to a double chin or skin looseness in the neck? Seen simplistically, three things can cause problems in the neck: extra fat, loose muscle (platysma) and loose skin. Loose skin is best treated by a neck lift or lower facelift. Neck banding is best treated by a platysmal tightening. Extra fat can be treated by one of the above techniques. So rather than select a doctor who is a one-trick pony, it's better to select somebody who does all of the above and is proficient at both minimally invasive devices and laser as well as facelifts, platysmal surgery as well.
