Can you get dermal fillers in multiple areas of the face in a short period of time?

Hi Marie.  If you said you were getting 3 or 4 syringes at each of those appointments, the answer might be different.  But because the amounts are small and the locations varied, you should have no problem with multiple visits for filler. 

Yes, you can get fillers in different areas within a short amount of time. You can also have the treatments on the same day. It takes 1-2 weeks for final results. I recommend injections with cannulas to limit bruising and/or swelling. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

This is a great question! The answer actually varies depending on filler type and where the filler is placed. In general, you can certainly overload a patient with too much filler, which can lead to swelling and some discomfort afterwards .Putting too much in the lip (more than 2 syringes), for example, in one sitting can really swell the lips and possibly lead to granulomas or tissue trauma. However, our office (as do many others) offers a filler facelift called the "Q-Lift", which can often involve 10+ syringes in 1 sitting. You would first want to make sure you go to a certified medical professional who is highly skilled at injecting if you were wishing for a number of areas treated. Regardless, the amount that you are planning on is not too much at all. I often use 2 syringes in the chin alone in one sitting and will do the lips as well same day. As I mentioned, the only anticipated down side is more swelling and possibly more bruising post-injection. Good luck and I hope you liked your results!

It is okay to receive filler over a shorter time period in different treatment areas. Allow proper time for any swelling and inflammation to decrease in the area as it may interfere proper assessment prior to treatment. This should be no problem. My only concern is going to different clinicians for treatments. Sometimes its hard to ensure natural results and consistency. Also, when treatment plans are shared it can lead to difficulties should any complications occur.

There should be no problem injecting the lips since it is a different area.  I recommend waiting a full 2 weeks for the chin to heal before treating again.  However, the best way to determine what treatment plan is right for you is through a consultation with a board certified injector.  Best of luck!
