Does Restylane Lyft lift the cheeks and create a slimming effect on the middle and lower face when injected into the cheeks?

Restylane® Lyft is approved by the FDA to correct volume deficit in the backs of the hands, for cheek augmentation and correction of age-related midface contour deficiencies in patients over the age of 21. This is in addition to treating moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (smile lines). Provided that you visit a expertly trained injector, you should see the results you're hoping for. In regards to jaw slimming, you may want to ask your provider if they perform massater injections with Botox or Dysport.

Restylane Lyft is a great hyaluronic acid filler for the midface to give a lifted appearance and a more contoured cheekbone, especially in younger patients. Injecting 1cc per cheek should be an adequate amount to get the look you desire. Make sure you see an experienced injector who answers all your questions before injecting.

Restylane Lift is approved to correct volume loss in the midface, cheeks, and even the back of the hands. Depending of the degree of lifting needed, injection of RL by a board-certified facial plastic surgeon can lift your facial features. However, RL is not typically used to slim and contour the jawline. Botox, along with other collagen stimulators can help to chisel your jawline.I suggest an inpatient consultation with someone in your area who can examine you and create a treatment plan that will help you achieve your aesthetic goals.

Restylane Lyft is a fabulous product to use in the cheeks. If injected properly, it will provide structure and contour, as well as support the mid-face, providing a more youthful "lifted" look. I think Restylane Lyft is a great option for treating the midface/cheeks. I particularly like it for improving cheekbone definition and for lifting the face. I would also consider Sculptra Aesthetic which is collagen stimulating filler. I believe Sculptra is an ideal filler for adding volume to the face. 

Hope this finds you doing well this afternoon.  Thank you for your question.  I do not have a photo to go off of.  So, with that, I am not sure that you are a candidate for this injection and will only give information as to what this product is intended to do.  Yes, R Lyft is suppose to fill out or give volume to the zygoma (cheek bone) region of the face. I like to use one syringe per side.  The added volume does give a slight softening to the nasal folds but not down to the jawline.  Also, you want to make sure that the injector does not overfill the area or inject in areas that will bring more attention to the shadowing, or hollowing of the check region.  You might want to ask about injecting Scuptra in to those areas.  However, you may not be a candidate.  Fortunately, there are injectors that like to be conservative, like myself.  I would rather have the patient come back for more than make the face or area look overdone.  If you visit my profile page, I do have a before and after of Restylane Lyft injected into the cheek bone region bilateral.  Soft, subtle and natural appearance.
