Miradry or laser hair removal first?

I want to have miradry done for my hyperhydrosis. But I am also looking into having laser hair removal for my underarms. Would one affect the other getting it done first? Or is their a time limit in between that I should wait?

Thank you for your question! MiraDry is a FDA approved treatment that offers an immediate and lasting solution to underarm sweat and order. In addition, it has the added bonus of a 60-75% permanent reduction in underarm hair. Laser hair removal can require around 5 treatments to see maximized results. I suggest undergoing miraDry first, then reevaluating your hair growth about two months post procedure. You can then use laser hair removal to remove the remaining unwanted hair. Best of luck!

Thanks for your question!  MiraDry should be done prior to laser hair removal.  Along with permanently reducing sweat and odor glands in the underarm area, MiraDry decreases some underarm hair growth.  Talk with your provider about recovery from MiraDry and how soon to pursue laser hair removal to reduce the rest of any unwanted underarm hair.  Good luck! Great question!  You should definitely have MiraDry before laser hair removal.  MiraDry is non-invasive and customized to each patient. Miradry offers a permanent solution to the common, everyday experience of underarm sweat which can cause embarrassing odor and stains. In addition, it has the added side benefit of decreasing some underarm hair growth (typically 60%).  It marketed as the MiraSmooth treatment for underarm hair.  You can then use laser hair removal to remove the rest of the small amount of unwanted hair.  I would wait 2 months before you start your hair removal treatments.  Good Luck

MiraDry performed for hair reduction is known as MiraSmooth. Laser hair removal takes multiples treatments, often 5 or more, to get permanent results. I would definitely encourage you to do the Miradry first.  Miradry is also known for the MiraSmooth procedure.  Miradry diminishes hair growth under the arms and hence has come to be known as MiraSmooth as well.  Two treatments in one.  If 2 months after your treatment you still have some hair growth, you can certainly consider laser hair removal.
