Hi Realself Community, Reaching out for guidance. I had revision rhino/septoplasty ~1.5 yrs ago, and upon getting my cast off, it was determined that Citrobacter Koseri bacteria had gotten into my nose during the surgery. The bacteria destroyed some of the cartilege in my nose and also left scar tissue in there. After 1.5 years, the nose should be in a position to be fixed. I am looking for advice as to what to do to correct it. Hopefully a Dr has experienced this before and knows how to fix

Hi @Jrdad! Thank you for sharing your photos. I am sorry you are unhappy with your results. I recommend seeing an expert revision rhinoplasty specialist for an in person examination. There are options for you that can be determined after examination.
Best of luck,
Dr. Nima
You need to add back a lot of cartilage: rib is the only source which will give you enough. You should be able to raise your profile back to straight and lengthen the nose. The surgery will be more involved than the primary rhinoplasty but your goals are achievable.
Obtaining your previous operative note and consulting with a rhinoplasty specialist would be helpful in determining if your diagnosis is indeed correct. Good luck! @drdonyoo
