Dent on nose 10 months after Revision Rhinoplasty - Should I Fix or do filler? (photos)

Question

I'm 10 months PO revision rhinoplasty. Overall I am happy with the outcome except I have this weird dent in the tip. I saw my surgeon on Monday and asked about next steps. He suggested a quick in office procedure using some ear cartilage (15 min procedure under local) to correct the dent or we could try some filler. What should I do?

Based on your photos, I would try the filler first. It's always best to try to avoid further surgery, and if the filler works, then silicone can be placed to give a permanent result. If the filler isn't working, then a cartialge graft may be required.

Hello, and thank you for your question and photos. Based on the images you’ve provided, the dent in your nasal tip stretches down through the columella. A qualified facial plastic surgeon can perform another revision rhinoplasty to reshape the tip using cartilage. However, I would advise waiting to schedule a revision tip-plasty until you’re at least 12 months post-op to give your tissues enough time to heal. If you’re not interested in undergoing another surgical procedure, dermal fillers can also help smooth this dent. I highly recommend schedule a consultation with a board-certified facial plastic surgeon to discuss your options.
