Revision rhinoplasty will certainly be able to reshape and create more definition to your nose. Thank you for your question. Once an implant has been placed in the nose, there is always an option to remove the implant and let the nose heal back to its natural state. For most patients who present to my office with this problem, they prefer to remove the implant (if it’s causing them issues) and revise the nose back to a more aesthetically pleasing state.

In order to do this, I prefer to use tissue from your own body as this will be more readily accepted, has a lower complication rate, and produces a more natural result.

As you alluded to in your question, you always have the option of leaving it where it is. Significant shifting, pain, redness, and drainage can be signs of impending implant failure. If you are experiencing any of these I suggest you seek out a consultation early on.

It may not be a bad idea to find a board-certified specialist with extensive experience in revision Rhinoplasty for a consultation and find out the options available to you.
