I’m sorry to hear that your concerns weren’t addressed sympathetically by the nurse. If they don’t get back to you please call them again to schedule an appointment with your surgeon. The pain, fever and swelling should be examined by your surgeon to rule out a complication.

This is exactly the type of symptom that would need to be evaluated by your own surgeon if you are early after surgery.

With your symptoms and your concern, you should schedule an in-person evaluation with your doctor. That's what's necessary to determine if an infection exists. You should insist on being evaluated. Increasing pain, swelling, and redness--especially when accompanied by fever--are always of concern to a plastic surgeon regardless of when they occur following augmentation (or any other procedure!).  Best to be examined by your surgeon as soon as possible.  Best of luck to you!

With sudden onset swelling that has changed the shape of the breast, you should contact your doctor to be evaluated in person. You may have a seroma, hematoma. or infection developing.

Insist on seeing your surgeon-not nurse by phone. Your result looks nice, but redness, fever and pain could be infection although unusual at 8 weeks. Be examined, not worth the risk to delay.nYour result looks excellent-good surgeon.
