Hello, I am trying to be patient during the settling process, however it has been over 2 months post-op now (9 weeks) and the gap between my breasts have not improved. I had a slight gap with my natur breasts but they seem wider after! I included a photo. I was a 32B before and got 295cc HP Inspira implants.
Answer: Breast augmentation Congratulations on your surgery and an excellent result. While your breast tissue will continue to soften, the implants will not come closer together, because the surgeon places the implants underneath the breasts, which means that if the breasts are slightly far apart to begin with, you cannot create more cleavage without causing a "uniboob," also known as synmastia. Having said that, everyone's cleavage has a slightly different natural width, and yours is well within the limits of normal and attractive, so I would not worry about it too much. Judging by your photos in dresses, your chest looks very similar to the Natrelle cover models' chests, if that makes you feel any better. Make sure you discuss all your concerns with your plastic surgeon during your postoperative visit.

Answer: 2 months post-op, will they soften, drop, and get closer Thanks for posting your question and photos. Congratulations on your breast augmentation and excellent result. Yes, your implants will drop a little and soften. You may be able to get a little more cleavage and the muscle stretches a bit, but there is a limit to how close based on your anatomy. You may not see any more cleavage without the use of a bra.

Answer: What about my cleavage gap? What about my cleavage gap?Congratulations on your recent breast augmentation! As a plastic surgeon has been in practice for over 14 years, I believe you have actually a very nice result! You should know that cleavage does get better over time and usually improves even up to six months to 12 months after the operation as the pectoral muscle continues to relax and stretch in that area. Certain bras can favor cleavage formation and some are better than others and I think you should talk to your plastic surgeon about what options you have for your aftercare from this point on!I wish you the best of luck on the continuing great recovery! Answer: Will my gap close as the breast continue to drop and soften? Thank you for your question. Seeing that you presented with a certain width between your breasts pre-operatively, this space, or gap will still remain following surgery. Since this is the natural anatomy of your chest there is no way to create more cleavage or bring your breasts even closer together. Your breasts will continue to soften and settle within their pocket in the next several weeks. I suggest speaking with your board certified plastic surgeon regarding these concerns. Good luck!

Answer: Will the gap close? Thanks for your question! I would talk to your plastic surgeon about this. He/she may have recommendations as far as massage, bras, etc are concerned that will help answer that question. My guess is that yes, it will improve, but there are certainly things you can do to help it along. Good luck!
