I am in medical school and got liposuction before my big board exam, which was silly. I maintained and even lost further weight after it for quite some time, until my studying period hit - the pounds piled on. I weigh more than I ever have. I have already begun working on losing it. I'm concerned about how difficult it will be to lose weight. I am surprised how much and how fast I gained, I am sure my stress and sedentary period did not help. But I am wondering what other factors are present.

Answer: Liposuction and weight gain Thanks for the question, our metabolism does not change with liposuction. Weight gain happens to all of us from time to time during periods of stress and there is nothing wrong with that. It sounds like you are focused on losing the weight with diet and exercise which is fantastic. You should not find it harder than before liposuction but changing lifestyles is always hard, I wish you the best of luck and would be happy to chat in the office if you would like

Answer: Weight gain after liposuction. Will weight loss be harder or the same as before? Liposuction removes localized fat deposits, but it doesn’t prevent weight gain in other areas. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle with proper diet and exercise is crucial. Weight loss efforts should be similar to before, but individual responses can vary. Consult with your healthcare provider for recommendations.
