I have attached pics w/arrows pointing to the indents. I have also attached a before pic . I had about 500cc from each side removed under GA & incisions were left open to drain fluids. (Incisions are indented 2) I know some lumps & indents are a normal part of the healing process. My lumpy places are soft. What is your honest opinion of the chances of these visible places ever smoothing out? I’m rolling thighs daily with a wooden rolling pin per Drs orders.
Answer: Post Op Contour Irregularities Thank you for your question and notated photos! In my opinion, your incisions appear "tethered" which can be easily fixed with in in-office procedure. I would go to the board certified plastic surgeon who performed your procedure to release these incisions. This will help with some of the contour irregularities you noted. In terms of the other "lumps and bumps," they may be normal post-operative swelling. I would consider adding SmoothShapes, a form of lympatic massage to your recovery period. In my office, we recommend lymphatic massage to all of liposuction patients because it helps decrease their post-op swelling significantly. You are still early on in your recovery at 6 weeks post op. Massage the areas of liposuction daily with firm pressure to help work out further lumps and bumps that could form.

Answer: Contour irregularities three and half weeks after liposuction. It's impossible to determine how your liposuction is going to end up based on the photograph. At 3 1/2 weeks there is a sizable amount of swelling which may lead to contour improvement as it subsides.

Answer: Liposuction Results & After care includes RF treatments (Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra) Cellutone/zwave, hyperbaric oxygen It is too soon to tell what your final results will be. You have swelling, which can last 3-6 months after your procedure. I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Liposuction Recovery smgjmg123. I appreciate your concern, but it is still quite early in your postoperative recovery to be overly concerned. It takes at least 4 to 6 months for all swelling to resolve and Skin to contract. Continue close follow up with your plastic surgeon. Good luck.

Answer: Will the lipo lumps and dents go away? I am 3.5 weeks post-op from saddlebag lipo. Hello dear!! Thanks for the question and provided information as well. You are still early on the healing process, it can take up to 6 months to see your final results, so please be patient. I suggest my patients to use a full body compression garment, 24/7 for the first 3 months, and after that, for 12 hours a day for 3 more months and to try the lymphatic massages, to get the best results. If you have any concerns, please follow up close with your plastic surgeon. Good luck :)
