For years i have noticed a lump on my back & it kind of lower my confidence. Sometimes it hurts. As years go by it seems like the lump is getting worse. My mom also has it so I’m thinking it’s genetic. Today, i finally figured the actual name & discovered something called dowagers hump or buffalo hump. I really would like to know what would be the best procedure to reduce the appearance of this hump on my neck so i can rock my short hair styles with confidence again.. Thanks
Answer: #Liposculpting sometimes the hump is pretty well defined and sometimes its not. the first question I would like to find the answer to is: 1. is it a Lipoma (fatty tumor) or merely a collection of excess fat? the treatment for either is different. but you need to be evaluated in person for any sort of treatment

Answer: Liposuction Best Treatment For Buffal Hump TeeannaS. I understand your concerns and while photos would help, it does appear that you are describing the so-called buffalo hump deformity. This is a well-defined collection of fat of the upper back centrally just below the neck that causes an obvious hump. I have successfully treated many of these deformities with liposuction alone. It is by far the best option. Come see me or another board-certified plastic surgeon in the area to explore the best options for you. Good luck.
