Hello, thank you for your question. #Melatonin is safe before and after surgery. It is very important to make sure your board certified plastic surgeon knows all of the #medications and #supplements you take so he can ensure the best care for you. Best wishes!
Hello Thank you for your question. Taking melatonin before and after your surgery is safe, and shouldn't affect your surgery, recovery or anaesthesia. Best regards
Thank you for your question. Melatonin can help regulate your circadian rhythm which helps regulate your natural sleep-wake cycle. It can be very helpful for jet lag and shift work. There is not data to suggest long term usage is bad but it is usually not necessary. If you use it to regulate your sleep and are able to keep up with a regular sleep routine & good sleep hygiene you should notice you do not need it nightly after 7-10 days.Sleep tight:)
Best idea is to ask you surgeon. I usually prescribe a mild sleeping pill for my patients who are nervous before surgery, as it should not interfere with anesthesia. Don't be concerned about being nervous, it is normal. Good Luck!
Melatonin should be perfectly safe before and after surgery. You may want to tell your surgeon, but I do not think there will be any issues.
Thanks for your question.Taking melatonin should not affect the surgical outcome and anesthesia. However, please let your plastic surgeon know of all the medications that you are taking so that he/she can review them.Good luck with your surgery and recovery.
Thank you very much for your question.I haven't had any issues with patients taking melatonin prior to surgery. I would ask the question to your doctor though, as every doctor has different views of medications that are safe or unsafe to take prior to surgery. Best of luck!
Recovery time for this procedure is typically two weeks before returning to work. There are typically activity restrictions for about 6 weeks. Final results are seen 9 months to a year from surgery.

Congratulations on having undergone the tummy tuck procedure. I find that many patients ( and their plastic surgeons) underestimate the actual recovery time associated with extensive operations such as tummy tuck surgery. The operation is associated with a very significant physical,...
