I had a tummy tuck with bodytite liposuction and bodytite liposuction on my inner thighs 8 days ago. I am wearing a compression garment and binder. When do I change to a stage 2 garment ?
Answer: Compression Garments I have my liposuction patients wear a compression garment (faja) covering all treated 24/7 except to shower for 4 weeks post op. This helps ontrol swelling as the compression on your tissues helps your body to reabsorb the edema fluid that accumulates in the tissues after any procedure. This can take quite some time to happen without help from the compression garments. It also helps improve contour. Compression helps to keep the tissues adherent to the underlying structures while healing, this can help prevent the wrinkled skin appearance that can happen when the tissues heal in ways we don't want them to.

Answer: Compression garment, when do I change to a stage 2 garment ? Hello, thank you for your question. In my practice most patients will be placed in an #abdominalbinder, which they will wear the first week. There is usually a fair amount of #swelling and the binder should be opened several times a day so that there are no pressure points. After the first 7 to 10 days the patient is placed in an #elasticgarment for #compression over the next six weeks. Swelling can persist for several months and will gradually improve and will look better at three months, six months, and even one year. In your case, I recommend you work closely with your board certified plastic surgeon and follow his plan of post-op care. Best wishes!

Answer: Garment instructions after and abdominoplasty. In my opinion postoperative compressive garments are primarily for comfort. However your surgeon has his own specific postoperative plan in mind and you should follow his instructions only.

Answer: When do I change to a stage 2 garment ? = when your doctor tells you #tt #compressiongarment #stage2 #drmesa Abdominal binder and compression garments are usually prescribed to be wear after at tummy tuck to improve post surgical swelling and promote "skin shrinkage"Stage 2 garments are a type of garments that are usually wore once most of the initial post surgical swelling has subsided.Since the swelling resolution after a surgical procedure varies among patients, only the surgeon ( that performed the surgery) after a physical exam is the one that could safely determine when it is ok to switch to an stage 2 garment

Answer: When to transition to stage 2 garments? Congratulations on your procedure and thanks for sharing your question. I can appreciate your concern. The best timing will be determine by your surgeon and his/her experience with your procedure. In my case, I like to transition when the the swelling and the incisions are closer to the normal stage. usually 6-8 weeks. Finally, make sure that your doctor is aware of your process. He should be able to guide you best in your care. Wishing you the best in your journey
