Returning to sedentary work may take 1 to 2 weeks. 6 weeks is usually needed for the scars to become strong enough to resist more strenuous activity.Kenneth Hughes, MDBeverly Hills, CA
Hello Thank you for your question. The recovery for a reverse tummy tuck would be the same as an abdominoplasty. 2-6 weeks. Best regards
The recovery time for a reverse abdominoplasty is about the same as for a mini, so no vigorous activity for 1-2 weeks, up to 6 weeks for full recovery.
I appreciate your question.Approximately 6-8 weeks. I would recommend you discuss this with your surgeon. Your surgeon is your best resource as he/she is most familiar with your medical history and how you will be healing following surgery. The best way to assess and givetrue advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certifiedplastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative plastic surgery.Best of luck!Dr. Schwartz
Recovery time for this procedure is typically two weeks before returning to work. There are typically activity restrictions for about 6 weeks. Final results are seen 9 months to a year from surgery.
These are usually done for problems limited to the upper abdomen. Typically there is less discomfort than from a full TT. Recovery is more is line with that of a "mini-TT" which involves only the lower abdomen. It still takes 6 weeks for the healing incisions to reach 90% of the ultimate strength. Some are back to work in a week for non-physical jobs, but it takes 6 weeks for enough recovery to resume vigorous work or exercise activities. All the best.
Reverse tummy tuck requires liposuction of the upper abdomen, followed by release and elevation of the redundant abdominal skin and redraping and securing of the abdominal skin flap up to the subcostals and repair of incision line under the breast. The securing of the abdominal muscles does hurt and can be the limiting component of your recovery. I would give myself a good 2 weeks.
I do not favor a reverse abdominalplasty nor can I without photo's feel if you are even a candidate for a reverse abdominalplasty.
It is not uncommon for women after having cosmetic surgery of any kind to experience a period of depression. This seems to be more common after a tummy tuck and/or other mommy makeover procedures. It has been my experience, after treating many mothers over the last 25 years, for there to be a...
Hello and thank you for your photos and question. It is safe to exercise after 6 weeks, however that doesn't mean you are ready to resume back into your normal exercise routine. I would suggest you exercise based on what you can handle/tolerate. Everyone's recovery time is different, you will...
I always use Progressive Tension Sutures ("quilting" sutures), and I do not use drains.Another alternative is a tissue glue FDA approved for tummy tuck surgery that also eliminates the need for drains. In my experience, drains are not necessary when either of those two methods is used.If your...
Hello, thank you for your question and photos. The photos indicate that you are healing well at #eightweeks post #Tummytuck. Your body can have #swelling from three, six to one year post tummy tuck. I suggest you keep your PS in the loop. Let him know your concerns and keep up with your...
I have my liposuction patients wear a compression garment (faja) covering all treated 24/7 except to shower for 4 weeks post op. This helps ontrol swelling as the compression on your tissues helps your body to reabsorb the edema fluid that accumulates in the tissues after any procedure. This...
